Yes, I've flown quite a bit while "packing". My advice, don't hide anything. I always put my juice bottles in a plastic baggie (like shaving cream, toothpaste, etc) and put it in plain site in a bin. I leave my Provari in a jacket pocket and send it through the scanner and everything else (charger, blank cartos, etc) in my carry on baggage. I've had some great conversations with TSA agents and may have actually converted one of them in RDU (gave him the ECF URL :))

I don't know if I would have been brave enough to take a Provari through an airport check point. I can only imagine what TSA agents must think when they see it...

One time the TSA agent at the scanner video screen asked me if I had an epi-pen. It was my Provari with a tank. I said, "nope, that's my personal vaporizer". He asked if "that's one of the ecig things?". I said "yep". He simply said ok and scanned it through. Remember, different countries may have different laws about ecig stuff but in the US you're not doing anything illegal or wrong! just the opposite, anytime someone (even someone in a position of authority) questions my use I take it as an opportunity to educate them on correct facts and benefits of vaping. When positioning the response nicely, people have always said "wow, thats's cool" by the end.

The funny thing is that I have traveled with tube mods and box mods, but have only ever been asked about an eGo with a pen cap. The black box with a big red button doesn't arouse suspicion, but the big pen does

Somehow, that just struck me as really funny. I pictured some person walking around with a black box in their hand with something that vaguely looks like an antenna coming out the top and a big red button and no one questions that.... but a pen? *giggle snort*

I am also a regular traveler and carry my devices with me. As stated I always put them in the bin in clear view so there is no problem. I also asked the security guard at LAX a few weeks ago if I could vape at the terminal. We discussed and I showed him what I had and he said no problem. I do have to say that it felt a little weird sitting in the airport vaping.

even though i know through research that a lot of policies say that pvs are able to be carried onto a plane, though do not permit their use on a plane, i have a strategy if i ever encounter any issues.
the batteries conform to what is allowed to be carried on a plane. juice bottles, unless really large, conform in ml capacity for what is allowed on a plane. i only use mechanical apvs, so there's no fear of electrical interference. plus, does the provari have wifi yet?! a charger is simply a charger.
there is never any way i'm ever going to put my apv in my checked luggage. i've lost luggage before, and there's no airline that is paying for a new one.

The ECF airport recommendations air very good. I've never had a bit of trouble with TSA regarding my vaping gear. Use ziplock bags for the 30ml liquid bottles. I use standard protected Li-ion batteries and keep my spares in plastic pill bottles. Battery cases and tubes are also available for this purpose.

I don't even try to vape on an airplane and use smokeless tobacco for the long flights instead. No problems at all vaping in an airport restroom stall.

How about vaping inside the plane? I havent tried that one yet
No. can't do it. I was doing the safety demo in the aisle recently and heard a passenger say "watch this" (he was right next to me) and he got out a PV and started vaping! I told him to put it away immediately which he did but he'd thought you can use them. You can't. There's usually info in the inflight magazine and it's in the DOT regs. People claim they don't set off the smoke detector in the lav but I've had someone using spray deodorant which set it off so don't rely on it and don't risk getting met on arrival along with a fine. ;)

You can't put lithium batteries in checked luggage but they're fine for carry on. Check with your airline for details on the limits.

I've taken mine all over the world, even to countries that it's illegal to use ecigs in. Just make sure your liquids are in the bag for liquids and it's fair game. Even if they ask you what it is, if you say it's an ecig the worst they will do is dust it for explosive residue and then just hand it back to you because it's not a bomb.

All batteries must be taken in your carry on luggage, that's the only thing you need to be sure of. Li-ions aren't allowed on checked baggage.

Don't worry about it, they've seen ecigs before and know what they are and they wont confiscate them.
