Yeah, I found that out yesterday myself. I was looking for an Ego T starter kit, and my first two choices based on price were no good to me.
The first company I was going to order from only took email transfers, which my bank doesn't offer, but it was only a difference of $8 so I went to order from the other vendor. I was going to pay with Alertpay when I found this out. I ended up spending $20 more elsewhere because of it. The only reason I signed up with them in the first place was to order ecigs and supplies.
What a waste of time.....
This product needs to be legalized everywhere to avoid this crap....

only way it would be legalized is if there is scientific study that the "24mg"in our bottles is less then 2mg that gets into the bloodstream when we vape, those are the guidelines set by HC regarding nicotine in a "quit smoking" apparatus.

So going on by what i researched right now on regular smoking the 12mg in your cancer stick, diluted through about 5 litres of air in your lungs works out to be just .4mg of nic that enters the blood stream. Factoring in 24mg 2x the amount give or take .8-.9mg of nicotine, which is far less then the regulations state, and in reality should be legal

You can still use Alertpay to buy ecigs just don't mention it in your comments etc . At the moment Alertpay is having trouble processing Visa or Mastercard credit cards but can process American express . I don't know how long it will be until they can accept Visa or MC they temporarily stopped it on Oct 6 and are still not accepting them . You can use a bank transfer but that will take a long time for them to process . A lot of canadian vendors accept interact which most major banks offer .

Alert pay is sketchy at best.

About a year ago they lost their ability to deposit directly to Canadian bank accounts. Now it looks like they have lost their credit cards. These are more than technical glitches, you can fill in the blanks.

As for using them for e-cigs, the issue is that none of the credit card companies will allow e-cig purchases. Alterpay is only a 3rd party processor, as such cannot change the policy of the credit card companies. To get around this they will allow you to cash advance your credit card to put a balance in your account, then use that balance to buy e-cigs. The logic here is that the credit card was only used for cash advance, not a purchase. Of course this wouldn’t hold up, and could be one of the many reason they are having “technical difficulties” with credit cards.

Is it not ok to use CC for sites that don't sell Nic?

Hard to know, HC changes their opinion each day on what is legal and illegal, the CC companies just follow.

As a non-nic site, you may be able to plead your case and get processing. For all the others using PayPal and processing CCs in Canada, it is being done without accurately disclosing their product against the terms of their agreements.
