Did one on HHV so I may as well do one for the AV samples I got. Overall I like AV a bit more with the tobacco flavors. None of the samples I got were terrible but I didn't go too extreme with flavors. Overall their tobacco flavors are closer to analog than HHV. HHV tobacco is closer to pipe/cigar/swisher sweets in taste for me. I guess some may prefer that. Others not. Maybe people new to e-cigs would prefer the more analog like flavors. Since I'm new I prefer the more mild analog tobacco flavors honestly.
Flavors I've sampled from AV. Blend 4, Gamel, C&D, Boba's Bounty and Gorilla juice.
I'll start off with the favorite, Boba's Bounty. I was skeptical but this stuff is really great. It's incredibly addictive and the memory/thought of the flavor sticks in your head, calling you back for more. It's really great stuff. I went ahead and ordered 100ml of it because I liked it so much.
Gorilla juice. It wasn't my thing. I guess I don't like the fruity flavors much. It's a bit ripe tasting and too sweet for me. I sampled "Vapin' Chimp" from HHV and overall I liked Vapin' Chimp more. I think Vapin' Chimp is a little less sweet overall and has a cleaner/daily vape mellow sort of flavor if you want to compare the two. I did prefer Vapin' Chimp from HHV but neither are really my thing.
Gamel. A very clean analog tobacco taste. Very subtle and mild. It's good if that's what you're looking for. I can't cite anything wrong with it. It would be a good daily vape for someone who wants an analog tobacco flavor.
C&D. It's a bit sweet tasting. Trying to go for that Marlboro full bodied taste I think. It has a similar taste to how a fresh pack of cigarettes smell. The sweetness sort of becomes overbearing. Imagine if you were to inhale the fresh smell of a pack of tobacco (rather than smoking it. Just inhaling the scent of a fresh pack from the box). That's sort of how it tastes. It's ok.
Blend 4. It's also a sweet tobacco taste. A bit like a cigar taste but not as strong. Nowhere near as cigar like strong as the HHV tobaccos but reminiscent of that somewhat. Also fairly mild. It's ok.
555. I was really disappointed in this. I wonder if maybe I got a mislabled bottle or something. It tastes nothing like the 555 I got from smokeless image. The flavor is closer to gamel and muted C&D mixed with wet dog. I have no idea why this is so awful
but I loved the 555 from SI. If SI weren't out of stock I would order some immediately. I really think there is something wrong because it doesn't taste the least bit like 555. Can anyone tell me if they've tried this at 24 strength and what it tastes like to them? I can see SI's 555 being a daily vape for me but this doesn't taste anything like 555.
Boba's Bounty is a real winner (obviously). Their other flavors are good introductory flavors for people switching over from analogs I think, people who aren't really to try anything very flavorful yet. I'd recommend the Gamel to people who want an analog like smoke for sure.
I was hoping 555 would taste great but there is something wrong here. Can anyone tell me what their 24mg 555 tasted like to them?
