Anyone seen or heard from DC in the last couple of days?

Hello Lettucehead! We're great down here in Vapeland!!! Congrats on the WIN!!!
Anyone seen or heard from DC in the last couple of days?
I hope she's OK...
Chunky may i have your vapemail?![]()
To be honest, I've thought about this. I've done nothing wrong personally, so I don't know why I should feel so bad.
DIstrict Concept - I'll accept the vapemail, though I know we were in discussion about some nuttyness, so if that's still going ahead, then pass it on to Plasticones.
If not, then I'll accept it. Thanks. At the end of the day, I still want to do what my main focus is, which is review flavours..... and part of that is to get nice new flavours out into the wild.(Which is why I came up with 30-40% of the entries of this competition.)
ECF has banned my work colleagues, (an issue they're going to take up personally) but graciously let me and my wife stay. So, I'm going to get more focussed on why I'm here, and why I vape. - Please see my website, and my other reviews here.
Alice, please PM me, and we'll continue the previous conversation. You know me as I am - enthusiastic. (possibly too much)

Dear Yardbird,
I think you may be working under the wrong information. This actually had nothing to do with opinions or reviews at all or any other kind of web news. It was about several contests and how one exuberant and overly enthusiastic person decided they would do whatever it took to win. Obviously $100 in cash is a lot of money for most of us, but is it worth cheating each other for? That was the prize that was being given out at Gotvapes. I know, I am entered into that contest as most of my friends are. What actually happened is a person got his wife, who admitted does not vape and then several members of his family and then started with the names and addresses of his co-workers. All to increase his chances of winning the contest. The moderator at Gotvapes said several times in open forum "stop adding multiple accounts or I will disqualify you" but, he kept on going. The moderator DID disqualify him and all the names of the multiple accounts that he had just signed up to ecf.
The exact same thing was going on here in this forum with this contest. Lettucehead and I were tied for a couple of days and then quite suddenly 4 or 5 people signed up and voted for his entries.
Is that fair? NO
Do I ever want to be in a contest where that person participates? NO.
Does anyone? NO.
One night I was putting in a couple of recipes and noticed for every one of mine entered there were a dozen for him. He would just think of stuff that might go together and pop in another entry.
Was it against the rules, no.
Was it nice? NO
Was it good sportsmanship conduct? Definately not!
I actually have an e-juice recipe for baklava. I decided to call it the Queen's Baklava in honor of Alice and the theme here. I had posted it no more than 20 seconds until he posted a recipe for Traditional Baklava with one different ingredient. Is it against the rules, no.
Is it fair? I don't think so.
Is it CHEESEY? Definatly!
Actually these are really nice people that run this company. The people that entered this contest for the most part, I believe put some real effort and creativity into their entries. It was great fun and I hope they do it again. I hope they don't look at one person who is so desperate to beat everyone out that they would stoop to these kind of levels, as a regular ecf member. I have come to know many many people on this forum and I have to tell you that I have never met such good people that are loyal to each other. They will break their backs to help each other and this person.... is none of those things. He actually has a history of doing this kind of thing. He has been thrown out of contests before.
I am not trying to start trouble. Just thought you might want to know before you defend him so beautifully. Maybe you did know, but I don't think so.
morri

My apologies Morri. My post was of a more generic and philosophical nature than an actual defense of or diatribe against.
Thanks to you, too, morri for you subjective, true to self, and open opinion.
Ahhh opinions!
Do you know what the difference is between a byrd with one wing and another byrd with two wings?
It's a difference of a pinion!
Apologies Vaplandians! My attempt to philosophize and support was inappropriate!
Again morri it was not my intention to strike a nerve with anyone please accept my apology.

Obviously, I'll reply, in a usual civil manner.
In the other thread, I asked my work colleagues to sign up to the competition. The problem being that they all show up on the same network as the same ip (computer number).
The people who voted for me in this competition were minyddol and his family. I've known jason for about 4 years - we play games online - he lived 150(ish) miles away from me - though because his workplace was flooded recently, is actually travelling down to a local store for some training this week, so I'm glad to go over and meet him for the first time. Was it wrong for him and his family to vote for me? Well, you can see there's been a lot of "political" voting in this competition, so I'm not getting into that.
Morri - I've already explained my nievety in getting my friends to sign up just for the other competition. Ie, just for the prize - I know now it was against the spirit of the competition, and have already made my apologies.
If you want to substantiate "He actually has a history of doing this kind of thing. He has been thrown out of contests before." that would be good, because other than the incident mentioned above, I've done nothing wrong here, have I?.
In fact, for this competition, I even told Alice I'd withdraw from the competition, if it eased the issues.
(and Alice can confirm this) I'm only human, and while my actions looked greedy, that doesn't mean I don't care.
Kindest regards,
Chris.
If the owners feel this way, I would hope they would reply to my PMs and emails.
Chunks.
I am trying to be civil. The next person you hear from will be the mods. Do not come back to this thread and leave them alone. They want to be left in peace.
Morning Ladies! Do you think we should move from here to Alice's main thread for check-ins and chatting?
