Good Morning Vapeland! Thursday is here and the week is almost over! I hope you all have the best of days!
Well we are home but normal is another story. Yes, there were health risks. We have three in my multigenerational home that have severe asthma so black mold does not mix well. My husband and I share a home with my daughter, her fiancé and their two children (4 & 1) so it was a crazy time but we made it through. We are now furiously looking for a new place to call home as we no longer feel safe here (after 7 years). Nobody was hospitalized over it so I thank God for that. We will get back on track before the summer months so I focus on that.

I did post (Jody Morin St Pierre is fb name). They replied but it was not exactly the response I had hoped for. Maybe support in this might help. I think the response I got was something that could help others maybe get a little surprise in their orders though. Go check it out.

Hmmm... I don't know how to read that response you got. I fired ask for a sample of something you loved? Wasn't very clear.
I finally found your post on their Facebook page Jode. Very well written and hopefully that will help some of us, that are missing a few of our old, not so forgotten favourites. I am going to request one next time and see what happens. I just received a larger bottle of Hot Waffles and still love it. I ordered it with extra flavour and to me, the maple seems more pronounced, but I don't find it sweeter for some reason. A definite keeper for me
...it beats the alternative, right?

I tried and I really didn't know what to make of the response. They really are a family business that puts a great deal of effort into customer relations so maybe after they perfect whatever is being worked on in the mushroom lab they will rethink this idea or a similar offer that allows us to revisit "old friends". The last thing I would want is if they felt pressure to expand or offer more then they can handle and have it effect quality of a perfect product. Unfortunately I have seen this type of thing happen all too often in industries that have products that rely on taste. Sometimes what sounds simple on paper is harder to do in practice, so I really cannot say how hard or easy it would be to do a throwback offer. I have seen other juice companies bring back discontinued tastes for a limited time but I don't know how effective those offering are. I would think if it was one or two old favs at a time for a limited time it wouldn't be too difficult. Just knowing that they hear and react to customers thoughts warms my heart and lets me know that I put a thought in their heads. I may try periodically to request an oldie but goodie and see what happens.
HELLLOOOOOOOO VAPELAND!!! I'm so sorry for my long absence. I hope all of my friends here have been doing great! It has been a crazy 6 months for us here at the Mushroom lab! Nicole and I had a beautiful baby boy on November 17th. After a 33 hour labor, he was delivered at home by our awesome midwives. Both him and Nicole did a great job. It was such a beautiful moment.
I wanted to address the confusion/frustration about retired flavors. Let me start by saying that retiring a flavor is one of the hardest things we do here in Vapeland. When I see that graphic disappear from our website it makes me want to cry. After making a certain juice for so long I get very attached to it. Its a very hard decision we have to make sometimes and we never make that decision lightly.
Why do we retire flavors? Well, there are several reasons why we might retire a certain juice. Take "Forgotten Memories" for example, every week we might have gotten just a handful of requests for that flavor. The logistics of stocking fresh supplies to make that juice and the space needed to stock those ingredients just didn't work well for us. It was costing us more to make it than we collected off of selling it. Normally I wouldn't care about the cost and I would continue making the juice but the e-juice market has become very competitive and in order to continue making great juices and putting the love into every Vapemail, we have to discontinue certain flavors that are not doing very well. It also allows us to introduce something new and fresh into the community. Forgotten Memories was a flavor request from our dear Rev67 and it reminded him of his grandmother (hence the name "Forgotten Memories"), so retiring this flavor broke my heart even more than I thought it would.
We have expanded several times since first opening in 2012 and we plan on expanding again soon. Hopefully this will provided opportunities for us to keep poor performing flavors in stock even if they cost us a little bit extra to do so. We started this business with a passion for making a great juice and spreading a few smiles along the way. Unfortunately, sometimes we have to make a hard decision that hurts a lot in the short run but ends up being positive in the long run. The last thing I would want is for us to have to close our doors so sometimes pesky "business" decisions have to be made. I feel when we retire a flavor we are letting down our biggest fans and trust me, it is very hard on us to do so. I apologize for any hurt or pain this might cause our dear Vapelandians. We have very limited supplies left for certain flavors so If you just cannot live without a certain juice, let us know when you place your order and The Hatter will see what he can do for you. Yay, Arthur is showing his cuteness. Beautiful boy!!! I think you all should be very proud at AiV of how you run your company and treat your customers. I feel like you treat us all like we are a part of your extremely large family and I cannot tell you how much that makes me smile. As sad as I am when things go away, I know these decisions are not made haphazardly and I am sure they are always made with a heavy heart as you said Jah. I don't think anybody meant to make you or Nicole feel like you had to defend yourselves. I probably shouldn't speak for more then myself but I believe there is a great deal of respect and love for your team here on this page. I know I am not alone when I say I will continue to enjoy your delightful vapes and weap a little along side you when tough choices of discontinuation needs to be made.
