Alien Vision's Boba's Bounty Arrived!

Hey folks,

I just got my order in today. I purchased the 100ml bottle at 6mg nicotine. Boy was it harsh! Really surprised the heck out of me. It is a pure VG juice and at 6mg nicotine this should have absolutely no throat hit! I really do not like any throat hit at all. I am now letting it steep. I was wondering why it has so much throat hit and the only thing I could think of is that they use grain alcohol to mix the ingredients.

As for the flavor. I taste a bit of honey, graham cracker, molasses is a dominating flavor for me. Maybe a slight tobacco flavor, very faint though.

Anyway, I have the lid off the bottle to let it breathe for a couple days, then I will seal it up, throw it in a dark corner, and let it steep for a couple weeks. I hope that mellows out the throat hit. I have never had a 6mg juice punch me in the throat like this one has!

I fought for a while. It's hard because so many people love the stuff.

Yeah, I don't know how I feel about this stuff from just the quick sampling I did. It was very sweet. Almost too sweet a flavor for me, and I love sweet flavors!

Boba's is my ADV, has been for a while now. I have a pile of emply 100ml bottles and I haven't been vaping too long. I love the stuff. It changes flavor with steeping, it changes flavor on different devices, but It never changes so much that I don't like it. Well, maybe on the protank, it had the weakest flavor. Right now I'm vaping it on a Reo Grande with an RM2, dual micro coils....tons of flavor and vapor and a healthy TH. I vape 6mg juices and sometime 3mg or lower. At first I re-ordered when my 100ml bottle was half empty. Now I reorder when my 100ml bottle is half empty and I still have a full 100ml bottle.

Yes, I have a problem. The first step is admitting it.

I know taste is subjective and there are people that don't like Boba's. I respect that, but I don't understand it.

Another juice I totally dig is El Kamino by Good life vapor. Sometimes I think I like it more, but it doesn't have the hold on me that Boba's does.

I have 40mls of AVE BB left in my 100ml bottle. Time to make another order.

Right now, am dripping Boba's into my iGo-L with fresh .9 coil on my K100 with a cold Fat Tire Amber Ale watching MNF...it doesn't get much better than this!

I don't think this is a bad juice by any means. I will sample it again after a week or so of steeping! I was intrigued by so many people saying how much it changed flavors as it steeped. My main concern is this throat hit. Which I am assuming is from alcohol in it during the mixing process.

I just do not like throat hit at all, and at 6mg it should be pretty good.

thats my favorite juice. to obtain the throat hit i have heard (and this make a lot of sence as far as flavor goes) that they use cyan pepper in their mixture for thoat hit. this discourages some, but i love it!

I am using a Trident V2, at .49 ohms dual coil, 28 gauge kanthal, 5/4 wrap, on an Atom Mechanical. I can't take throat hit. All I own is drippers and mechanical mods.

Wow, you're quite the gambler! 100mls is a lot to order sight unvaped. Most people order a small bottle first, and then a big bottle, IF they like it.

How are you tasting it? Device, atomizer, volts, etc.?

Geez. I can't handle Boba's in a dripper like that. ESPECIALLY anything with ohms that low. I use my IGO-W's on mechs 90% of the time, but I STILL only put Boba's in my Protanks at around 2.2ohms on a regulate MOD. For me, it's just too strong - flavor and TH wise for a dripper. I love the flavor of it though. It's just such a well-rounded, and complex flavor. I taste something different in it every time I vape it.

Oh, the throat hit is unbearable when it first comes.. I thought it wasn't 100% vg when I first tried it. It is a pretty thin 100% vg, especially compating it to the english toffee I got a smaller bottle of.

Indeed, I have the cap off the bottle for the next 24-48 hours, then its going into steeping mode for a couple weeks. I am pretty sure it has alcohol in it. With the cap off, it should evaporate out. At least, that is my plan.

I normally run dual coils totaling .31 ohms. I tried raising my ohms to see if that made it smoother. It didn't.

a true vape connoisseur is known to keep at least 30ml in their artillery at all times. just in case of emergency

i dillute it with vg, only so that the added vg is only about 1/6 of the entire mixture. this helps a whole bunch. i can taste the flavor a lot more.

i have been vaping bobas on and off for about 5 months. the harshness never realy gets better without the added vg imo lol.

You know I thought about that adding straight VG to the mix. I guess I will be buying straight USP grade VG if steeping does nothing for it.
