Hey all,

Been vaping AVE Flue Cured and 555 18mg exclusively for a couple months now; love these juices so I decided to place another order and get them in 12mg strength as well as 18mg. I just received the order yesterday and was very surprised to find that the 12mg strengths (in both juices) did not taste the same. The new 18mg strengths (in both juices) taste the same as they always do.

I filled out a support ticket with AVE and they quickly responded saying they would swap the 12mg bottles out no problem; which is fantastic. However, I was just wondering if maybe there IS nothing wrong with them and that they SHOULD taste different. Anybody have any experience with this? Should I steep them for a little while before sending them back? I find it weird that they would need more steep time especially that the brand new 18mg bottles taste normal right out of the mailbox.

Both flavors in 12mg strength have a perfumey taste (maybe they're just more sweet?). It's difficult to pin-point. But one thing is for sure; they do not taste like the 18mg strength bottles.

Any help is appreciated.

TIA

That is my experience as well, let me know if something is different with your replacements. My ADV is Havana Gold and I use a ton of Boba's Bounty. Tried moving down to 12mg on both but had to move move back up as the flavor is very muted with both in the 12 compared to the 18. Wish it wasn't that way as I really don't want to be throwing 18 in my RDAs but I do with these.

Oh wow, thanks guys.

@Bigflyrodder - that's exactly why I wanted to get 12mg as well; for the RDA's. Especially in the Kayfun, the 18mg can be a little overwhelming. I have kinda gotten used to using the Kayfun, but at first, I was getting such bad nicotine rushes that I though I was gonna puke! I find it interesting that you had the same exact experience with the 12mg strengths.

I am going to let them continue to steep and then try them tomorrow night. If they still taste the same, I'm gonna send them back for replacements. If the replacements taste the same, then I will most likely just vape them. I've tried other juices in different strengths and from what I remember, the taste did not change much at all.

I've had several bottles of the AVE juices in both 18 and 12 and consistanly the 12 is much less flavorful across the board. It's a shame really, the 18s are spot on and the 12s are a disappointment when you can't help but compare the flavor to what you get from the other juice. 18 in an RDA is amazing, nothing else compares. 12 in an RDA is a good juice but not any better than a bunch of others I use on a regular basis.

That was exactly my experience. I've been using the 18mg in my RDA's/Kayfun and their absolutely delicious. However, when I got the 12mg in and dripped some in the RDA, it was not the same at all.

I'm still going to let them steep before I let them go. I tasted them last night and I think they got a little better. We'll see.

you will notice alot of difference in all juices as you drop down. I went to 6 and 0 nic and it took me a year to adjust, but that is because I wanted to do as little of nic as possible. Its like trying juices for the first time. Try some samples as you drop down and put a note in your order that you want dates of when the samples were made, so you know if they have been steeping alot, that makes a difference. Once you get use to it out of your system, you may not like some juices. I know I noticed there were favorites that were not so much on my great list, its kinda everyone has different taste.
