hey guys. so vaping has not helped me totally let go of cigs yet. i had been using 6 mg nic but realized that probably wasn't the best choice to start with. today i ramped up to 18 mg juice. i don't want to sound like a wimp but i honestly cannot stand the harsh throat hit of this juice for more than a few puffs. to me it is not even a throat hit it just makes my entire throat and mouth burn for a good 5 seconds. I'm a vapor both to quit analogs but also just because i love vaping. i love the flavors and playing with the smoke and its just something fun and relaxing to do throughout my day. now that i have more than one setup i was thinking that i could have one setup with 6 mg nic as my all day vape just to play around with and puff on periodically, and have my other setup with the 18 mg juice for when i really crave a cig. does anyone else do this or think its a good plan?

I think the jump between 6 and 18 might be too much. I would try varying between 12 and 18. As Sue said, different strengths throughout the day work. What worked for me was using 11-12 mg most of the day and switching to 18 mg for about an hour every 2-3 hours. I felt no cravings at all doing this for several weeks. One thing that helps with the burn of a higher nic level is a higher water intake. Hope this helps!

I started with 12 mg and later dropped to 6. But I still have quite a few bottles of juice that are 12, so I use them when I am feeling the need for a bigger hit or just feeling more stressed than usual. You didn't say how much or smoked or whether full strength, lights, etc. It could be that the 6 is way too low of a starting place and 18 is just too high. Try mixing the two and see if that helps.

Yes. The water helps cool and soften the mucus membranes that are irritated by the higher nicotine. (It also helps to flush your system of all the other garbage that cigs give you.) Also, holding the vapor in your mouth and blowing out through your nose without inhaling can also acclimate your system to the higher dose and avoid coughing.

I'm currently using 18mg, but I'm vaping so much I just got a 6mg cherry tobacco juice to see if that would be enough for most of the time. I am planning to still carry an 18mg tank with me for after lunch and the likes. I haven't really had any issues with the 18mg other than feeling a tad like a morning cigarette high, but I'm thinking that carrying a lower nic tank around could help in reducing my needs.

I say it's a great plan! (mostly because I thought of it first :D)

If it works then it is an excellent plan!

Don't think of yourself as a wimp. I myself started on 24 then lowered down to twelve. I find in the mornings the throat hit makes me cough hard so i choose a lower nic juice then late at night i tend to ramp it up and hit my 24mg juice. If throat hit is your problem consider lowering your pg or just move to 100vg. Personally I don't like the kind of throat hit pg gives me (and plus I have a slight allergy to it). VG allows for a much smoother vape even with a higher concentration of nic :D

I started with buying 18mg, which just ended up being too much (made me dizzy). I then switched to 12mg and felt much better, then I went to 6mg. After switching to 6mg, I just didn't feel like I was getting enough, so I alternate between 12mg and 6mg depending on how much time I have to vape during the day. If all day then 12mg first thing in the morning, and I'm good using the 6mg throughout.

18mg down to 6mg might be tough.. I was at 12mg literally for 7 months before I finally cut down to 6mg last week (I need a TH so I am using 6mg in a Kayfun and its been awesome, no hitch whatsoever) ..

I'm going to try 6mg in a regular clearo but I have a feeling its not going to be enough of a kick for me.

I used to keep both 12/18 in different tanks.. now I will do the same with 6/12.. Whatever works for you in the end to keep you off cigs is all that matters man!

Been vaping 6mg (down from 18) all day since my last post and I do have to say the throat hit is lacking a little, so I dripped a couple of drops from the 18mg at first. It's still killing most of the taste of the cherries in the cherry tobacco, but it seems to work so far. I have been chain vaping every occasion, but I don't feel any cravings for anything but a Kayfun (just what I needed to hear before pulling the trigger.)

Lol, as i suspected, using the 6mg in a regular clearo and theres NO TH whatsoever.. I have to stick to using it in a RBA/RDA only.. I'll keep clearos loaded with 12mg for now..
