wow, wow, wow...

I started smoking at the age of 14 and have not gone without at least a pack of cigarettes a day since.....that means for 33 years I have lived my life around cigarettes. Have tried patches, gum, wellbutrin and Chantix.....all to no avail. Never lasted more than 1 day.

I have now gone 1 week without a cigarette....I am amazed, shocked and thrilled.

I bought my Joye 510 last Wednesday and smoked my last .... on that same day. A couple moments of craving the old tobacco stick since, but that was soon resolved by a good vaping session.

Family is still a little skeptical, but supportive.

What can I say.....thanks to all on this forum for the insight, advice and suggestions....I truly believe that I am on my way to a tobacco free life......:rickroll:

Our experiences (and timeline) are identical except I never bothered with all the other cessation methods. A friend of mine let me try a piece of his nic gum 20 years ago. I STILL remember how grotesque it tasted. I'm on my 4th month vaping, still get the 'urge' occasionally (it takes time to change a 3 decade habit), but happy vaping. You'll be too.

Grats!! Yeah ecigs are amazing! I smoked a bit longer than you, 1.5-2 PAD, and was absolutely amazed at being able to vape instead.

BTW - I love Boge standard resistance cartomizers on my 510's. I use manual 510's so I don't have to worry about occasional carto leaks (if a carto leaks it will do so right over the hole in the end of an auto battery). I put my favorite thin clear juices in cartos and I can get more than a week of good use out of a Boge carto. Slim batteries need to use the standard resistance ones. I get the longer good performance out of a carto with juices 20% VG or less, and light clear juices that leave little or no flavoring sediment behind in the stuffing.
