Started vaping this past Friday and so far all is going well. I did quite a bit of reading on this forum before I purchased my equipment. I ended up with the following and I feel it's a great set up and I think I did pretty good right out of the gate.

2 ea. Ego-C Twist Batteries
1 ea. Vivi Nova 2.5 tank (with another on the way)
5 pk. Smokymizer carts (so far 1 out of the 3 I have used leaked like crazy)
2 ea. battery chargers

My advice to all the newbies out there......READ, READ, READ these forums. There are so many people on here who are extremely knowledgeable and I have learned a lot from them......but I still have so much more to learn!

Happy vaping!! :vapor::thumbs:

Thats similar to what I have, except my tanks are Kanger T2's. I'm having mixed emotions about the Kangers. One is great and the other one leaks through onto the battery top. I have read all the posts abut maintenenace and everything is tightly screwed together. Next week I am going to get the Vivi 2.5 tank.

Have you tried swapping the coil out on the leaky clearo? Maybe there's a defect. You said you had it screwed in snugly? If changing the coil does not fix the problem, the defect could be in the body/post of the clearo. As cheap as the Kangers are, that's no biggie. Just curious, I have 5 of these guys and haven't had any problems with them, outside of the initial learning curve.

Great pick on your first setup, BluEyedTxn. I would have LOVED to have started my vaping experience with something like that. Some of you will never know the pain of a penstyle automatic and stuffing carts. How is that mini vivi nova treating you?

Cuando - the Vivi Nova is fantastic! I just fill it up and go to town with vaping. It's a 2.4ohm so I'm dialed in at 4.0 on my Twist and OMG it's awesome with the Flux "Hush" e-liquid from GotVapes. Uh oh, looks like I need to do a refill!!!! LOL!

That's good to hear. I know I'm flying through juice with these Kangers, but I did also recently cut down to 12mg from the 24/18 I was accustomed to. It's far worse at home, of course. I've found that out and about I vape far less than I smoked. It's kind of strange, I don't even really get a nic craving for a couple hours versus every 30-45 minutes. Something is happening, and I like it.

Keep it up, Blu, and definitely look into getting another pack of coils or two for that clearo, and you'll be needing/wanting at least one if not two more batteries soonish. Don't trust your gear, it will bite you in the behind.

Thanks so much for your suggestions Cuando! I really do appreciate it. I have another Vivi Nova on order as we speak and that will make 2 on hand and soon I will be ordering the different parts for it to have on hand also. I think another Twist battery is a good idea. That would make a total of 3 for me. Hopefully this will be just the right mix for a while.

I agree with everyone else...good job doing your homework! I also second the suggestion that an atomizer or two will let you try dripping with new juices to see if you like them before you commit a carto or a tank fill.

I'm not much for dripping except for juice testing, but I've found the Vision 2.8 ohm bridgeless atomizers to be reasonably priced and perform well. You will probably end up running them at about 4.4-4.5V on your Twists - they usually meter out at 2.9-3.0 ohms in real life.

Thanks Rick. I have so many people tell me I over ....-lyze everything...LOL! But for the most part it does pay off! I really appreciate your advice on the Vision and I'm ....-lyzing right now!!!

Congrats! It's been a week for me.

Congrats to you also Jesse!!! I'm looking forward to all of the health benefits due to switching from analogs. I just told my daughter that I had switched to vaping and she asked me if it was a joke. LOL! She has been trying to get me to quit smoking for years and then all of a sudden I made the switch. I had to do it for myself and I hope you made the switch for yourself too!

I agree with LongHaul, I think it is imperative that you try dripping into an atomizer. If for nothing else, it gives you a fantastic vape, and allows you to compare your Carto's, Vivi's, etc... To me dripping is the Gold Standard that all other devices have to live up to. I tried the Vivi, a carto tank from AltSmoke and two Stardusts. What do I use after trying all that day after day night after night...... my 510 atty's and some juice. PERIOD. But at least I knew what I was missing when I tried the cartos and vivi's. Otherwise I would have missed out on the excellent vapes from my atomizer. FYI, so far I am 1 month, 27 days into my 1st Joyetech 510 LR atty. Works as good as the day I bought it.

I have, also their store in Sand Springs, which is closer to me. I love the Reo design, but I think I am going to have to wait for Christmas or my Birthday to justify the price tag. My Provari hasn't come in the mail just yet, but my credit card is feeling the purchase already.

I think eventually I will agree that a Reo (or similar bottom feeder device) is the end game for the way I like to vape.
