All Kinds Of Questions...

As the title says it... all kinds of questions.

a) When I make a thread and it ends up in the wrong area and a mod moves it... how can I find it? It doesn't appear in the threads I created option in the menu bar. I can't find it through search... I'm officially stumped. I thought for sure it would show in my created threads but it's not there. This forum is so massive it's actually confusing cause I feel some of the Sub-Forums overlap immensely.

b) Is there any threads that have all the slang and lingo stickied? I've been trying to research as much as I can on all these terms but often times I can't find answers such as what is a clone? why would I want a clone? I've already researched so much of the lingo and I prefer to watch YouTube videos as I find most are very informative with a visual to help make it more clear but I have to pause several times in one video just to research one term/slang/lingo/word.

Use the forum search function and search on your user name to find your posts. Clones would be close copies of a competitor's original design.

Vaping is a complicated topic because there are several ways to create vapor, the state of the art is advancing quickly, there is lots of competition and users want different things.

If you are a smoker who wants control of your tobacco habit it's probably worth the time and money to learn this stuff.

If one of your threads you are asking about is your Ask The Veterans question, it posts invisible...I move it to Ask The Vets Answers and make it visible...once there are answers I move it back to Ask The Veterans and it is a visible locked thread.

That's where it went! Thank you. I thought for sure I was going crazy or my phone didn't post it.

I'll try the username search, I didn't think of that.

Also, at the top, below the ECIG FORUM banner, there is a bar that has different things listed. One of them says 'What's New', if you click on that a menu drops down. The first item listed is 'My Posts'. Click on that and it will show you any thread you have posted in. The ones that are darker/bolded are ones that have new posts since you last posted in them.

Yes this place is huge, you will find things you never thought were there after a while. LOL That's one of the reasons that we move threads around. To try to keep things organized. Like this thread really should have been in Site Feedback and Help. ;)

We do understand that it is confusing for new members to navigate, that's why we try to leave a redirect for a few days.

There is much duplication between these links. Some of these terms go way back to the beginning, when I started vaping 8 years ago.

Vaping Terminology

1. A – Z E-Cig Glossary
2. e-Cigarette Jargon and Terms – eCig 101
3. Vaping Glossary - what does it all mean?
4. ECF Abbreviations 101

#4 is very handy when trying to decipher ECF members slang.

Nice links, good work as usual.

On a sort of related topic, but not worth a thread, do you Americans have difficulties with regional slang or is this a thing of the past? It still exists in the UK, but would say not to the same extent as when I was a lad.
