I went to try some of my new liquids out this morning after having cleaned my clearomizer, drying it and dry burning it.and I put in some Ry4 and it tasted very bland .. I could kinda taste a hint of nuts but it tasted burnt and just off to me. I suffered through it for a bit but just couldn't handle it so I dumped out the bit left.. recleaned it really well.. I didn't dry burn it this time but I put in a fruit flavor someone gave me to try.. this also tasted kinda burnt and bland.. but I could just taste a hint of the fruit.. luckily I only put a very small amount in and vaped through it.. Now on my third flavor having cleaned real well, dried and did another dry burn on it (did it how outlaw vapor does it) now I have the SI 555 in it..once again very bland and burnt tasting. I dunno if my taste buds are off or if I've done something to my clearo because I only have the one (am waiting for the new ones to order anything else). What can I do? It is really dampening my mood and making me irritated cause I can't enjoy my vaping.

I also went through a few spurts of losing my taste buds, and if you began vaping about the time you joined ECF, you are right on schedule for that to happen. ;) To see if that is the problem, do you have a juice you have tried and liked or a carto (ETA: like was suggested right above... READ, Tidegirl. ) or something else that you have happily vaped with, so that you know it's not the new juices? Otherwise, you just have to vape through it.

I think most of us went through this. I'm not saying it can't be your equipment but it's more likely that it's your taste buds going through a change.

I have heard of a few suggestion to try and help fix this, like cleaning your pallet. Orange juice or just brushing your tongue. Things like that but really it just took me time.

Try a fresh clearo or carto, you may have over done it with the dry burn and toasted the wicks. I normally don't dry burn a clearo until the coil is red hot just until there's no residual "smoke" coming from the atomizer to be sure I don't fry those wicks, but then I'm cheap :)

Yeah I finally tried to do a dry burn on a ce3. Yeah I know imagine said it was a nono. But I have had the same pack of 5 since middle of July? Time to break open my new packs. Well one I cracked the tube trying to get the stupid post out. Dang tweezers. So I got another one and tried a pair of needle nose. Those little suckers are in there tight. I bent the airhole where it is no longer round... Then I dry burned it on an auto looking in the mirror. 20 bursts finally to get red. I think I did it too much. Oh man I put some juice in and that was one of the worst tastes I have ever experienced. It is soaking in water now. Even with a partial circle on the tube it still doesn't leak.

The second one I dry burned. This one I rinsed with cheap nasty vodka. I can't be sure but I detect a small hint of burn taste. Not sure if it my mix.. Cause it makes me sick... I think I used too much flavoring. I really need to by some patience...

I don't think I am going to dry burn them anymore. They were working fine before. A couple months of regular use with water and coke soakings.

Know I have to lift the posts on the new pack. I am always afraid of cracking that plastic.

Don't dry burn until the coil glows red, I think that burns the wicks and leads to that "wonderful" flavor. I just dry burn them until no more "smoke" comes off of them. Another trick with the air tbe is to rock it back and forth to get it to loosen a bit, then rotaet it around in a circle while it's tilted. That can be tough to do in such a small space, but usually loosens them.

Yes. I usually stick a bended paperclip in the tube and rock it back and forth. Getting that initial break is pretty tough for me. I am not exactly gentle with anything. If anything ever say fragile, I never get near it.

I saw your post about it. Why I wanted to respond with something I did so others don't necessarily do it or if they do they realize what they could have done. Even if people say not to do something I generally still try because well I like to know how things work. Still I have ruined 2 from the original pack of ce3s. The other 3 are going strong and I opened 2 packs from the new batch (not the new version).

I'll tell you in my experience these things are hardy little things. I just put too much pressure on the tube while holding them. Last night I started putting them on my battery before yanking anything. All pressure is then on the battery and the fitting.
