All my DIY burn at high voltage.

All my ejuice is horrid after 4.2v . Is there something im not doing correctly?

I use myfreedomsmokes liquid and cut it with kosher VG to make 18mg base. I use flavor apprentice for my flavorings.

The Orange Cream, RY4 (double flavor) and Coffee all taste like burning rubber death at 5v. I have tried different ohm cartomizers, and different mods - all give the same results.

Did i just buy flavorings that are DOA at higher voltages?

What are you using? Atties or cartos? And, most importantly, what resistance?

Sounds like you're using a low res (LR) device at a too high of a voltage.

My 1.5 ohm (LR) dual cartos can only handle up to 4.2V before I taste a 'burn'.

Watts are what's important. Wattage goes up as the disparity between volts and ohms grows wider. The coil heat will go up as your wattage goes up and if it gets too hot it will burn your juice. VG will burn at a lower temp than pg does and VG puts off a nasty taste when it burns.

I read about an unknown Nic base, VG, and flavorings.

If it is a final that has a high unthinned VG and high wattage, the juice may be boiling off quicker than it can wick in, so that makes burnt taste. But without info, like PG/VG ratio and watts, it is impossible to tell.

I thought PG lit up at a lower temperature than VG....?

And to the OP, your watts are likely way to high, I can't imagine this being your flavorings fault

Thanks for bringing that up. You got me thinking, I bought 30 standard resistance cartomizers. Seems some of them are lower then 1.9 ohm on my volt meter. I guess I found my problem. Someone in other post told me they had a cartomizer that was .9 ohm once. Quality control I guess.
