Who remembers those old potato chip commercials? You can't eat just one?

Well, it seems I can't rebuild just one coil. I've got one in each iCare and 2 spares ready to go. On my third tank with the first one and it seems to be getting better as it breaks in.

So, sometimes my initial hit is lame-y. I've taken to covering the airhole ( 0n the side of the case) upon initiating and then releasing after a bit. (think b-o-n-g).

Thinking of opening up that airhole some. Maybe put a button on it :)

Can we open the holes in the coil container to allow use of Hi Vg?

I should think you could. Whether it would help or not? You might want to slide the coil out first then put it back in.

I can say I am extremely happy with my Icare mini with pcc. I use them as a whole piece; this way the battery charge lasts a lot (2300mah pcc plus 320mah the mini itself).
I've had not misfiring issues at all. Being a vaper for years, since 2009, and with a good bunch of regulated and mechanic devices, but for me the Icare is a game changer. I must say I am not a cloud chaser; my vaping style is MTL and always my favorite coil builds are between 0.8 and 1.5ohms. My liquids are DIY, usually 12mg nic strenght however for the Icare I need to use a minimum of 18mg in order to get a satisfactory throat hit. I make my "stealth" liquid 90%pg 10%VG, and it works very good, but I've been using as well 50/50 and it works fine too.
At first I was a bit worried about the mini's tank capacity (1.2ml) however it is amazing how long these 1.2ml last in this device.

On my icare, I refill, recharge, when the juice is just above the connection of the coil, by that time I can tell the battery is not putting out enough to give me a good vape. This lasts me several days to a week since I don't use it around the house. I want to remember to fill next time with a syringe to see just how much I'm using per refill. I'm on my third fill with this, and I'm also curious to see how long the coil lasts before I have to change it.

I've never used a cigalike, but if they converted the Mini into one, might try then. Nice switchable LED at the end for fixing stuff around the house, or building coils.

Actually, after this long w/o a cigarette, not sure I care about having something hanging out of my mouth anymore.

    Back in 09, a 320mah batt in a cigalike couldn't handle a 1.1ohm coil. I wonder what changed?

Kinda was wondering about that myself. Maybe back then they weren't IMR's? Only thing I can think of.
I think it is a combination of Battery, type of wire the coil is made of, and possibly some kind of chip to limit current draw, but I'm just guessing here as I really have know idea.

Received my two Mini's today - haven't used them much, but my first impressions:
Small! Despite all the pictures and comments I've seen I was still surprised - these things are Built For Ants - very light too, even filled with juice.
Initial quality seems good - threads are smooth on chimney, paint is good, etc.
I really like the PCC - it's just all around cool.

I gave my girlfriend a cyan one - it's her first foray into vaping, hopefully it'll start her on the path away from stinkies.

I got mine in black. Loaded it with some 6mg 80VG/20PG that I already had made. I am definitely going to have to change my DIY recipes for this device - I find the flavor very muted and the coil is not keeping up with the high VG. I am getting dry hits after about the third hit. I am going to try mixing up some 12mg 60VG/40PG and up my flavoring 25% and see how that goes.

I ended up going all in with the mini - sold my AIO's and bought a bunch of them and a bunch of coils. One for at home, one for out and about and back ups tucked away. With all the fancy stuff I've had over the years I never thought I'd go all in with any device, let alone one that is the size of a USB drive, but the simplicity and performance won me over. For now, it's nice to be back to just vaping to avoid cigarettes.

I plan to rewick mine if possible with rayon. I use 50/50+/- so it should be interesting. thanks for the review.

cant wait,, mine should arrive late today. (my mail comes around 5pm everyday)

I got my rebuilding material in for another try at redoing these coils, but slammed at work, so might be a little while before I get a chance to do it. I'll post when I do. :)
Looking forward to it. I did 4 total. First one is still doing great. The other three were all wrapped too tight.:confused: Oh well, think I might try cheesecloth or gauze next time. I like messin round old school style.;)

Still haven't used my mini much - been really busy around here.

I did mess with it a bit today - with some new 12mg 60VG/40PG juice I mixed up - and still found myself very underwhelmed.

So I said heck with it and broke out my drill. I drilled out all four juice holes on the coil - I don't know the size of my bit (small!) but I'd say I came close to doubling the diameter of the juice holes. At first I tried pulling the coil out of the casing, but it didn't seem like that was going to happen without destroying the coil, so I just drilled the holes out with the coil intact, trying to stop as soon as I got through the metal casing on each one. Was pretty successful - didn't even appear to disturb the wicking material much at all. No special tools - just my cordless drill and a pair of pliers. Took less than 5 minutes total.

Re-installed the coil and completly removed the AFC ring off the top.

    Holy Carp!

This Mini is a totally different animal now! Flavor, airflow, and vapor production are all easily doubled. I can chain-vape full 10 second DTL hits one after the other without getting dry hits - I'm not getting any flooding either.

I was about to shelve this thing - but not anymore!

I am going to be trying silica sheets I got in from FT. I haven't used silica of any kind in a long time as cotton and rayon taste so much better, so we shall see. :)

Might have to try that if it will increase the flavor, that was one thing I thought was very lacking. :)
