(cross posting)

I'm in a unique situation and not sure how to proceed or what my options are... I'm on a very strict diet/nutrition plan (HCG). Currently, the phase I'm on does not allow sugar or starches and immediately reveals any sensitivities (by adding lbs to the scale). So I started gaining weight and couldnt figure out why as the foods I'm ingesting are 'safe' for this part of my diet. Stopped vaping (used analogs) for 48hrs and the weight came down. I assumed it was a PG allergy, as all my (dekang) juices are mid-low nicotine PG. Past vaping has always given me moderate gas, bloating, tummy cramps, looser bm's etc but nothing I couldn't tolerate. So after doing some forum research, I vaped pure VG as suggested in previous threads. It was much worse than PG, as it gave me major bloating, tummy cramps and bad gas. And of course the scale went up. Next day I tried much less VG and my stomach issues were a tad milder and the scale stayed the same. So I am hoping that means I can tolerate small doses of VG - only time will tell.

I'm an exsmoker, but must vape or I'll go back to analogs - not! So now, I need to find something to vape that I'm not sensitive to. I have a feeling I could probably get away with mixing a bit of VG with something else, but am unsure about a pure VG juice. I may be able to return to vaping PG &/or VG once I'm done with this phase (6 wks or so), but for now it's best I find an alternative.

Ques:
1. What can I vape instead of VG or PG? What vendor would you recommend I use? Do they sell samples? (would be great if they sold 510 attys also)
2. Is there anything I can add to my current pure VG to dilute it, so I can vape until new juices arrive?

Note: I've been vaping (pg) since December. My nicotine ranges between 8mg - 18mg. I drink approx 9 glasses/1.5ltr of water a day. I'm not a heavy vaper - maybe .5ml daily.

Thanks in advance for all your help :)

I was just about to ask the same question. I do not like the taste of PG. VG is good for me but I want to mix it with something to dilute it. Only thing I can think of is water. Is it safe to add water or distilled water to my vg to dilute it? I put vodka in it but I not going to do 50/50 vg /vodka that I not even going to try.

You can dilute VG with water and alcohol, but I'm not sure that more than about 10% of each would make a liquid that would vape very well, that would leave you with 80% VG, and I'm not aware of any other substances that could be typically use in ejuice. Of course I don't think it would hurt to try a higher water percentage, it might not work well though.

Thank you for the responses (sry, I didnt get an email that there were any). Does anyone have any reccs on what else I can vape besides VG or PG? I just ordered PEG 400 based juice from sterlingvapor/ecigsejuice.com. I was wondering if there were any other suppliers of alternative juices? My research isn't turning up much except for Triacetin, but I don't know of any vendors who make a juice with it.

starling, sorry to hear of your problems. I have PG allergies and switched to VG/distilled water at about 85/15. I started having allergic reactions to this and found the flavors were the problem as they contained PG. Now I avoid all PG and flavors containing PG and have been doing great with this for over 10 months. The only 3 bases I have heard of are VG, PG and PEG. Triacetin is used in flavors in leu of PG but I have never heard of it being used as a base or a pre-mixed juice.
