allow myself to introduce... myself

Hi all,

Just registered a few minutes ago but have been lurking here (and learning a ton) since early August last year.

Back around the end of July I decided to try a cigalike (Blu disposable) so that I could get a nicotine fix without leaving my non-smoking (even on the deck) apartment to do it. I wasn't planning on quitting smoking, because I really enjoyed smoking. But within a week, I had quit smoking, because cigarettes just started tasting and smelling awful to me.

I replaced that mediocre Blu disposable with a V2 cigalike and some clearomizers, which were way better, but started doing a lot of research on making further improvements. That led me here (and also /r/electronic_cigarette). I quickly bought an eGo and a Kanger Aero tank, but only about a week afterward, found myself ordering a ProVari Mini and a nautilus. And then, after a lot more reading here, ended up buying a Dripper Pro, and shortly after, a Sophia and Cage tank. Still loving that setup, but added a P3 just this week.

This is getting expensive... but as I've always said, money is worthless until you spend it!

Hi Dave and welcome to the forum. I have the Nautilus mini on its way in the mail, and am waiting to check out the eleaf 50W soon to be available. Thought I was done for a while till someone mentioned a cup holder for my truck and an organizing stand for my desk... Regardless, I'm off the cigs!

I don't know how long I'll be vaping for, but for now I like it. I haven't dumped a ton of money into it, but a decent amount. I do like not smoking cigs though, so I'll so this for a while and see where it goes. I have convinced 5 people to switch to vaping in the past 2 weeks, so that's pretty remarkable itself.

to ecf davetwopointoh. Nice to meet you and so glad you are here. I know I spent more when I first began, but for some, like me, you find what you like and you sort of stop looking. I do all my own stuff and I have been smoke free for a good while. In fact, I think I am more addicted to vaping than I was smoking (if that is possible). Good luck to you and just make yourself at home. Just a wonderful place to be. :)

Oh, I'm not complaining! Just observing. :)

I think I quickly fell into the hobby aspect of the whole thing. Anyway, with all the health issues and social issues of being a smoker, I figure I'll always be way ahead of the game with the switch to vaping, even if I end up spending twice or three times as much as I did smoking. Which I'm not planning on doing, but just sayin'.
