Hello!

Well, I am sorry... I am registered here since I had sincerely started vaping, then read about a bit and forgot that I was registered, because I was more active in the german forum...

Time to say hi, I guess :D

I am Robyn, I live in Germany, I am 35 years old, and I am an ex-smoker (hi Robyn)

I started vaping back in Summer 2011, first with a cigalike, parallel to smoking. When I got my first Ego in autumn 2011 smoking was history. That's when I dug up all the info and that was when I ended up here.

At the beginning I bought new stuff in phases: bought stuff, was happy with it for a while, didn't bother thinking about it, until I went looking for something better again (and if you wait a while there is always something better ;) ). So I went through Ego T, Ego C, vivi Nova, Emow, Melo.
During that time I always mixed my own Liquid too, although, for a long time, mostly only with 1-2 Flavours.

This year I took my vaping to another step though. I got some Box Mods (Picos, Cuboid, VTwo etc.) some RTAs, RBAs for my Melos, RDAs, RDTAs... pretty much everything possible. I got me all sorts of wires and started coiling and wicking.

And now, for the last leap to maximum independence I am learning about unregulated mods (with the first tube plus atomizer on the way, doing my homework first ;) ) and starting to mix my own real liquid recipes, which isn't all that hard if you know your single flavours well because of using them for years.

So I am sort of a not so new new person here.

Off to look around and see what I can learn here ;)

Vape on!

Welcome and glad you joined. Starting out on a simple ego kind of makes vaping start right. Too bad the newbies just have to jump into the deep end without the background to control the vape.

Thank you!

On the other hand, there are some simple devices out there. Get a pico and a Melo, keep buying the same replaceables and leave the pico at the same setting they put it to for you in the store and BAM you are fine.

And the pro side of the new devices is, that they have more power and can deliver more, which makes for a more satisfying feeling and more chance you will actually stick with it.

I DO send all interested people around me to a good vape shop close to my place (something else we didn't have 6 years ago) so they can test things and get a good service and advice. Even more chance for a success :)
