Yep, that is it exactly. No matter how I try to screw in the battery the button never faces up, it's either down or to the side so it won't fit into the groove.

Guess it would work if I leave the case open....meh.

Had same problem, slowly unscrew battery until charging light still on but button facing up and case will close. Will still charge fine.

I got the Ultimate Ultimatum also. It's unfortunate that the instruction manual doesn't have more info.....why is that Steve or Leaford?
The PCC will work for a manual bat...you might not be able to close the case while charging though. Depends on were the button ends up after screwing it in (because it will press the button).
Question....should we wait to charge the batteries until it indicates they need charging? On most rechargeable batteries, it extends the life if you recharge only after it indicates it needs charging. Opinions?

Are the EGO and Hello both fully compatible with manual 510's without any adapters or other things to make them compatible? And does it matter which site you order from (meaning are some EGO's knockoffs and should be avoided?) Also, what other things are needed if purchasing an EGO or Hello for a 510 manual? Chargers? PT? USB? or does the standard manual 510 kit generally come with everything needed to charge an EGO/Hello?

yest the batteries are compatible with the 510, but you need the little extender to get them to fit the charger, they're only a couple bucks.

Great question, Twilight! I've been charging mine whether or not they need it fully. I was wondering the same thing earlier today. I've read that the "old guys" charge theirs whether or not they are fully discharged. However, I haven't posed that question to them. There is a forum for asking them questions. You might pose that same question there.

BTW, don't let having a cigarette today ruin your day either. I had quite a few when I first started the vaping thing a year and a half ago. I had one point where I was on a pack a day of cigs and vaping in between! That was mostly because the company screwed up and sent me 0nic fluid, but it takes time and you can't give up if you have a smoke from time to time. You'll get it right soon, get a nice rhythm going, and it'll be a year since your last cig before you know it. I just had my year anniversary last month. :D It does get easier.

Ok you thoroughly confused me now. :D

You said battery button always in a position in the PCC where it will not completely fold down so you can close the case. So, slowly unscrew battery so that it is still charging but button is facing up so you can close the case.

I agree, when I started vaping I kept a pack in the dash.
Vaping in the house was easier than running to the car and I found the only time I would actually smoke was driving.
After a few days cigarettes began to taste really nasty too.
I guess the tobacco worms can have the rest of the pack !

Gypsygirl, What do you mean are the Ego and the hello compatible with manual 510's? Do you mean are the compatible with regular 510 atomizers?

Congrats, Guitarman! That's awesome. I hope this time next year I can say the same thing!!!! Thanks all for the good information on the batteries. Oh, and a note about the car....I read somewhere that someone got pulled over by the cops for vaping in the car and the cop was dumbfounded about what to do with an ecig. They told the person vaping not to do it in the car. Suggestions were for her to go into the police station and educate the chief! Just didn't want you to be as shocked as they were at the lack of knowledge in the general public. After all, not everyone sits on here reading what you all say all day, like I do! LOL. Perhaps I should just go into my small town chief today and avoid the embarrassment later, lololol.

Yes, wait until the batteries are dead before you recharge them.

Col. Gaunt - yes that's what I meant, sorry. Just wanted to know if I could take the atty and cart and screw it into an EGO battery without any other adapters. Of course I know now that to charge an EGO I would need a 510 to EGO adapter.

Please note: I have both the Ego and the Hello and regular 510 attys will NOT fit properly on the Hello unless you get the hello kit from a particular vendor who cuts grooves into the hello battery to allow the 510 to work! I got my hello kit from madvapes and no grooves were cut into the battery, when I screw on a regular 510 atty onto my hello the draw is very tight, I have to slightly unscrew the atty from the battery to get a less restricted draw.

As far as the charge goes there are 2 types you can get for the ego (sold as the tornado by totally wicked) the charger that comes with the tornado is a slow charger, the charger that comes with the ego is a fast charger. The fast charger that comes with the ego cannot be used with regular 510 batteries because it will burn them out!

Oh I understand that, I was referring to the fact that at first you said it will not work at all, then said it will work using the above method.

No worries, just giving you a hard time. :D

In reading the attachment to markfm's reply, it sounds like it doesn't matter. These batteries aren't supposed to have a memory and sounds like it's best not to drain them down too far before recharging....

While it is true that the batteries do not have a memory, would it not still be better to use them up to their full capacity so that you will know just how long a fully charged battery will last you? I still subscribe to the use till dead method, not saying that it is right or wrong, but it has always been my practice. What you choose to do is up to you of course, I was just giving my personal opinion.:p:D
