so im almost 2 days without a real cigarette. although i have stated im not using my riva to quit smoking i found myself yesterday about this time thinking i hadn't had a cig all day.........so i thought why not just see if i can quit! any ways fast forward 22hrs and for the first time since using my riva i started to have a weird craving, nothing like i've ever experienced before when trying to quit. i went from any thing between 20 to 40 hand rolled cigs a day to 2 a day since using the riva, one in morning and one before bed. At first i thought maybe my cartomizer was running low or empty, but it's hard to tell with the ceramic ones, the filler ones give a burnt taste when they're almost dry, signalling a re-fill is needed. so i decided to drip in an atomizer instead.............but ever after chain vaping for 2 hours i felt the same :s

so i decided to come to the community and find support and tips. i read lots of other peoples struggles and have seen how supportive you guys are. after trying some of the tips out nothing seemed to be helping other than raw will power. i then read a reply on someones thread about brushing my teeth...........so off to the bathroom i went, mouthful of mouthwash went it, then a good 10 min brush and hey presto i feel much better...........wonder if they're any nic in toothpaste lol.

since then i've refilled my cartomizers and put some batteries on charge ready for work tomorrow. so im all happy again now.

any ways back to the point. just wanted to say thank you to all the family, especially those that take the time to reply to peoples post, no matter how little they are, or how repetitive they are. you're all stars :)

just one quick question.............after the drama of tonight im defo going to buy some stronger nic levels for times when im like this as a temp counter measure against it, im currently on 14mg and 18mg, i didnt want to start high and become more addicted to the stuff, rather start low and go a bit higher latter if i felt the need to, than start high and make things harder. so is there a way for us to tell/test if what we are being supplied with is the nic level that we ordered? im going to do diy when i get paid and mix my own, so i can find something i like more at a decent price, rather than as im doing now testing the majority of flavours.............but im cautious now i've asked myself and now you the question about nic levels as to whether also if you ordered say 50mg base juice if it's actually 50mg juice.............prob just a paranoid question but do any of you know or have suggestions as to how to find out?

There is a way of testing if the nic content is as stated,i'm not sure if i could even find the thread now but it wasn't something you could do with 'household' items. Generally if the nics lower than stated you'll vape more/have cravings or if it's to much you'll get a lovely pounding head ;-) I'd say sticking to a recommended supplier would be a good way to get what your supposed too.

it's probably just my cautious/curious/paranoid mind lol, but i always get images of del boy type merchants............i mean business is business. so far i have stuck with trusted sellers and am more than happy so far..............just this sec put another £100+ order in..............like almost £300 in 6 weeks or so and didnt even start using until last week proper. though most of last order was diy stuff and a pass through. super excited now :)

Just looked and i'd spent about the same in my first 6 weeks and didn't quit cigs for a while.I think you know fairly fast if it's going to work for you or not...and then you start spending ;-) I think Del Boy would have looked great with an E-Cigar! Lucky for us we have the ECF and normally someone will say if they've had good service from someone....or not.

Enjoy the vapes and flavours !

im not talking about service but how would you honestly know if the nicotine level was right? even the suppliers might not know themselves as some will just bulk buy/source from other countries and re-sell. there is also other factors that we dont always take into consideration, like other stuff we get from fags. what i do know is that 2 cigs ish a day and vaping was fine and then i stopped and the vaping seemed to not work anywhere near as much. i will try a higher level and see if that works for me :)

 Post 666 for me :evil::evil:

Only by purchasing from different vendors and trying the same level would you know. If its your level you'd be a happy vaper,if it isn't you'd kick the cat(sorry cat lovers) or the opposite way(too high) you'd have an hangover without the drink.

People do miss the other stuff from cigs and some moved to Snus etc, i smoked on occasions till i could do without(+ moved to a higher nic level), some go cold turkey, some switch easily. There's only you running in the race and you go at your pace no-one elses.

I was doing about 50 rollups daily
started using 36mg mix-left the tobacco in the car 15 months ago -still there-but never felt the urge
dropped to 24mg after getting plentiful supplies-then tried 18 mix-ok
now happy with 12mg
so we all find our own level-just saying try high to forget relying on tobacco-if you get the headaches go lower
even a headache is better than...........
