Hi Guys,

I've stopped vaping 2 years ago, i had a ego 510 but the leaks and burnt taste made me quit. I missed it, so now 2 years later i bought a new set the ego cc clearomizer from joyetech with an ego twist 650 mah. Been vaping again for 1 month now, no more leaks or burnt taste so im quite happy. But i got this really strange thing going on. I cant seem to taste my e-liquid, they have some taste but not as strong like im used to with the ego 510. The flavor really seems kinda dull to me. I used PG and VG mixes, both the same. So i thought maybe steeping my liquid would solve the problem but no, still almost no taste. I did have a cold sneezing and a runny nose. But that was 2 weeks ago still almost no taste. Does anyone here had this problem?

Best regards,

ten.

If you've been smoking and then quit (unclear from your post), there is usually a period of time where your tongue exacts its revenge on you for treating it so badly before - it shuts down taste. If that's you, it will pass. You'll get plenty of suggestions on how to ride out the storm, but the most sound advice is to drink plenty of water. Buckets of it. And then drink some more.

Additionally, the coil units in your tank setup will get gunked and either need cleaning or replacement. Again, not sure from your post as to whether or not you're on top of this or not - apologies if this is second nature to you).

Lastly, some people complain that clearomizers mute flavour. A few say drastically so. You might want to pick up some cartomizers as an alternate means of storing/vaping juice to see if that helps with the flavour.

I had a really hard time tasting things in the beginning too. :( I was a heavy smoker and my sense of taste was wickedly kicking me when I was down. After about a month of searching I found that some flavors were stronger on the intake and others on the exhale - I needed the first category Big Time. I found that minty flavors did me grand favors and then a grape that tasted exactly like I wanted it to with every hit and it's been a dream ever since. So don't be afraid of the light at the end of the tunnel. It's not a train. There is hope.

Good advice ^^^GothicRose^^^. The first portion of my tongue to start tasting was the tip the rest followed shortly afterward. It does take letting the vape sit in your mouth then exhale through your nose to get the most taste from it, at least at first. Once your taste buds have had time to recoup you'll start tasting things better and this will keep going on and changing for some time. With that said don't throw away juice that doesn't taste great to you now cuz' later it may taste great. Good luck to ya and Happy Vaping! :vapor:

Well no, for 2 years i've not touched a single cigarette. But i missed vaping so i started again with low nicotine 6 mg. Coil units hmm, my ego cc and atomizer are still like brand new. Not even a month old so clogging up after arround 3 weeks time? Should i clean my tank and atomizer? Are there any guidelines on how long an atomizer can hold up before it need replacement? Any good tutorials on how to clean the atomizer correctly? Clearomizers mute flavour, i've read some reviews about the new ego cc. I've heard no one complain about the taste.

For me the trick has been to inhale slowly but not into the lungs but rather let it sit happily in my mouth for a moment then exhale through the nose, the smell really enhances the taste, that and finding a taste that works for you.. i went through a few before I discovered a vender that made things that work well for me

Good advice! I always found it hard to break the whole "inhale into my lungs habit".
