Ok, I am almost analougue free. I went into this just thinking that smoking a few cigs along with my PV I could kick the habit. I think I can, I started smoking again when I met my girlfriend (she has been a smoker for 20+ years). I actually was chewin for 3 years before I met her so it wasn't her fault =). As a guy no chick wants to kiss a dude before...during or after someone that chews. Iadmit it was disgusting, I took up smoking so we could be on the same wave length so to speak. So long story short I got us a couple of Volt starter pro kits. They are awesome!!! We still smoke analogues as we ween ourselves of the the nasty cigs. I think were getting there, it's hard but I think we can do it! She and I really try to vape instead of smoke and instead of buying 7 cartons of smokes a month for the both of us we are buyin 3 packs at a time. While that sounds bad, I just went threw 2 packs in 5 days (usually its at least a pack a day for each of us minimum) so the craving is diminishing we are still trying to kick the nasty's! Were almost there, were still experimenting with carts and flavors to find an everyday vape. Once we do I think we will be golden. For me its a little more different. I go out and smoke with fellow workers every hour on the hour, I am almost afraid to whip out the e-cig because of peer pressure and I will smoke an analogue. I am almost up to the point of thinking who the the @#$% cares. I think next week will be a good week to do it as I am off the rest of this week. Kickin the habit is tough, We both drink and I have found that the 24mg carts help us tremendously curb our craving while drinking. I just wanted to put the post out there for fellow newbies to understand the struggle and to let everyone know its not easy. In the mean time, peace, I hope everyone can overcome their struggle and we look forward to being analog free in the near future! God Bless!!!:vapor:

WELCOME TO THE ECF

I highly recommend either sticking with 24mg or even 36mg depending on how heavily you smoked. For a pack a day smoker of regular strength cigarettes. Than 24mg is what you will need and 2 PAD or more, 36mg.

This will help kill the urge and you will be cigarette free. Smoked for 20yrs myself and after 5 months. I still haven't lowered my nic yet. Another piece of advice is to get multiple flavors from various vendors instead of buying pre-filled carts. Get little bottles like 5-10ml to find out what you two really like.

IMO there is no such thing as an all day vape. Once your taste buds come back. You'll get bored with only one and will probably not even taste it anymore if you continue to do so.

You've made a good choice with getting a VOLT. Moving up to a mod would be a next step to improve on your vaping experience once you get the hang of things.

I was 2 PAD smoker for 25 years. When I got hold of my 510 and 24mg juices, I stopped buying analogs. Occasionaly i bum one from my peers, but not so often. If I had analogs, i would smoke them untill they are gone.
Now, a year after, I still smoke an analog sometimes just for the heck of it, but not even daily. I guess one cancer stick here and there won't kill me.
And chainvape on my Ego-T and 18mg juice. 100ml+ a month, is it too much?

Welcome! It sounds like you guys are on the right track to being analog free and go both of you! That is awesome. I still smoke the odd analog myself, mainly because I work in hospo and I find with my e cig that sometimes I just can't get that nicotine hit that I need fast enough. Anyway good luck to both of you on your e cigarette journey.

Just make sure you nicotine level is high enough that is really what helps especially if you were a heavy smoker. We went from probably 1.5 PAD to like 12mg and I am vaping all the time because I am used to higher nicotine levels. I'm trying to get the hubster to agree to some higher levels but he says he's good. So he's going to have to get used to me going through some juice in the next few weeks. We were able to quit analog almost immediately upon obtaining our KR808's

Well congrats at where you are at...and where you are going.
Keep up the good work and the faith.
My only thoughts is that when your with the "boys" at work...just bring out
that ole ecig and fire it up. You just might be helping someone else kick a habit
and possibibly change THEIR life as well.
I too was timid at first...now I pull out no stops....and whip the ole mod out everywhere.
You cannot imagine how many questions I get and how many people are interested in
kicking the cig habit as well.
Glad to have ya!

I swear I was about to post something like this. Always good to hear. I ordered my VP today and I'm eagerly awaiting it's arrival. I'm down to a 1/2 pack of analogs and trying to convince myself that I will not buy another before my VP arrives.

Interested to know... for those that have kicked the habit (or refraimed for period of time) if vaping is trully the answer. I ordered a few juices along with my purchase but for the hard core ex-smokers, who smoked because they enjoyed the taste of tabacco in a cigarette or cigar (like me), does this juice thing really satisfy? I hear a lot of stories but maybe I need to hear more.

Yes, the juice really does satisfy as long as your nic level is high enough and you find a flavor that you like. I've probably gone through at least a dozen "favorites" in the past two years before settling in with coffee flavors as my all-day vape. All of the favorite juices were good enough to keep me away from analogs. I did run across some truly disgusting juices on my journey but that's how it goes.

You two are getting there quickly, doing GREAT. Enjoy the journey. I love couple stories :)

My nephew gets loads of positive attention vaping. It's the future. He doesn't try to convert others but is approached often by intrigued smokers. The pioneer vapers blazed a trail for us the last few years and suffered the arrows and naysayers. Now we see ecigs/PVs in movies, Letterman, in the news and they'll soon to be commonplace virtually everywhere. I truly believe it. Crtical mass is near. I hope you and your girlfriend embrace being frontrunners. You'll help others along the way, many without even knowing it. What a wonderful experience to share together! Congrats to you both.
