Hello all. My hubby and I were at the mall on Tues and saw the Smoking Everywhere kiosk. The girl gave us a sample and we were more than excited, but I figured that we could come home and go online to find a better deal. Of course now I see 100 different sites and types and I need help!!

I have read mostly about users liking the 510 or 901. Here is some history of our smoking habits:

1 pack a day normally
1-2 packs when we are partying/drinking
We enjoy the action of smoking itself and don't really care much about taste, though I am sure we will try some flavors
We prefer the throat hit and like to see alot of smoke

We have been wanting to quit for a while now, and it was mostly my hubby that couldn't get on the wagon. Then of course he brings home smokes and I start again. He was actually more excited than I was about the E-cig, so I figured we should go for it. I just don't want to waste all this money on something that is crud.

I am guessing the 510 would be the best bet, but I am just wondering if anyone can recommend a certain site to buy them from. I am also wondering if any beer drinkers out there can tell me, is vaping as satisfying as an analog when you are drunk? :p Silly concern I know, but I don't want to be at a bar and feel the urge to smoke nasty cigarettes if the vaping doesn't do the trick.

Thanks in advance for your help!

I found my e-cig very satisfying while drinking... so much so, that I usually kill the battery (or two...) half-way through the night! I'm using a 510, and love it. Although it's the only model I've tried, beyond a friend's blu and the smoking everywhere in the mall, so I'm not much to make a recommendation. I bought mine from Totally Wicked US and found their shipping and service very fast! One concern was in buying their multi-pack, they don't have a warranty on the batteries or atomizers, although if you receive one that's dead on arrival they will switch it out. And if you use a credit card, you may get charged an extra 3% on your order by your card company, in order to get the money to the UK (where the company is based). Whatever you decide to do, make sure you buy multiple batteries and chargers... It'll make life much easier.

Thanks span. That sounds good to me. I guess we will need those on the go charger packs.

I find that Innovapor has the best deal on a multi-kit. We can get 4 full 510's with 4 extra attys, some juice, and the personal charging cases for 200. I also found the 901 on VaporKing, and with them we can each get 2 full sets for like 50 each. I also like that idea because I can get my pink ones and he can get black haha. I think I may just buy both?? Ug this is hard.

Cignot.com has good deals on the 510. It took me less than a day to get used to using the 510 and I like it a lot. I have only been vaping for 3 days though and have never tried anything else. If you don't mind whether it looks like a cigarette or not, I know there are other recommendations but most people recommend the 510 to get started with.

Ok so I have decided that we are going to purchase a set of 510's, and a set of 901's. My hubby wants the auto feature that the 901 offers, even though I have told him from what I have read most prefer the manual. He was just so dead set on the Smoking Everywhere cigs, and I had to convince him that they are a huge rip off. SE actually charges $75 for a 20ml of juice. Unless it has something other than nicotine in it, they are crazy!!!!

I am deffinately getting the passthrough for both, because I spend alot of time on the computer. I am going with VaporKings for the 901, because of color choice, and Innovapor for the 510, because they have the nice packages with extra attys. If anyone reads this, please let me know if I have made the right decision. Money is tight for us but I really want to get off the cigs asap, and I don't want to waste too much on something we won't like. Thanks again.

Sounds like a good selection of stuff and suppliers. Make sure you order some juice, because the prefilled carts don't last long and being able to top them off saves you tons of money. Plus having a number of flavors to choose from thru the day is one of the best things about vaping. You may want to look at cignot.com for the 510 because they have a deal now on the 510 kit without a box. $35 for 2 batteries, 2 atomizers and a charger. Not that I'm saying anything bad about Innovapor, because I've heard nothing but fantastic things about them and their customer service.

Hello DF:

Like someone else said just get one in your hand so you can experience it for yourself. You are making a good choice with the Dura-C, Titan, 510, Yeti or Versus. I quickly gave my 901 to a relative to try when the Dura-C came out quite some time ago. In my opinion they are the best of the tube shaped PV's.

As for the beer drinkin and vapin. I like my Dura-C in public as it is more discrect. But, also like to pull out the Screwdriver and a 6 pack sometimes. Hee!

Your 510 with manual batteries (you can also get an auto to try) is the best place for you to start. Its got the tube shape most beginners prefer, and the manual batteries offer the best control as to vapor and throat hit. You can graduate to a higher power mod if need be from there.

Best of luck to you, and welcome to ECF. Let us know how you like it.

Funny....but I keep picturing your husband trying to steal your 510:).

Start with an M401. You will then look for more cartridge capacity and better throat hit and move onto a 901. Then you will be curious about an 801/penstyle system because of the bigger cartridge. Shortly after, you will read about the huge benefits of a manual battery and purchase a 510. While all the above are very good devices depending upon your vaping habits, you would have spent at least $200, not including e-liquid, to try out all those starter kits. Thast is the journey most of us take.

If you want to shorten the learning curve, and step up to a world-class device, purchase a Super-T. Run it at the typical 3.7 volts for a few weeks. If you feel that throat hit and vapor are lacking, you can order the optional extension sleeve to run the Super-T at 6 volts; officially considered high-voltage vaping (HVV). In the unlikely event you find the whole vaping thing not to your liking, the 'Super-T may hold a significant amount of it's original value if you decide to sell it.
