Howzit!

I've been lurking on ecf for awhile now and I must say that this forum is probably the single greatest source for info on anything and everything vape. I like that everyone here is willing to help a newb out and feel comfortable that the advice, tips, and general info given on vaping is credible, accurate, and legit.

Looking forward to getting to know the community and possibly(though doubtful) even contribute to the wealth of knowledge contained in this forum.

Aloha and vape on!

Thanks.

ATM my setup is a zmax mini and a nautilus mini. My zmax is starting to crap out as a result of a few drops but still works well enough. Got a sig mini 30w and a lemo 2 in the mail.

I want a small setup to carry in my pocket at work and is minimal hassle to swap batteries and refill. Been happy with my zmax and nautilus which is way better than my previous kanger tanks but buying coils is getting old and expensive so looking to go the rebuildable route to save money and have some fun tweaking out.

Any suggestions for an ideal setup would be nice...

Aloha

Aloha!

Yup, ECF is the place to be.

What are you looking for in an "ideal" setup? You wanting just to quit smoking, you want to fill a room with fog?

I started with cigalikes (not *MY* ideal setup). Got into Spinners/VV3s/MVP2.0s (yup, "old" technology now) Currently sporting iPV Mini/Mini2 and iStick 30W/50W with Nautilus (full and mini), Kanger Subtank (Mini & Nano), Kanger Protank2s and some kayfun clones.

Stick form, tube form, box form? Internal batteries or replaceable? I've never used a mech mod - I like regulation.

The rig is important, but I think the topper and juice are more so. You can go for a tighter draw (Nautilus) or an airier draw (Subtanks). A decent 20-50W mod can probably give you a wide range of options as far as what topper you can run. Find something that will fit your hand comfortably and let you change your settings fairly easily. Get a couple different types of toppers (and if you've a mind to build your own coils - get an ohmmeter and read up on Ohm's Law and battery safety). I find that I like different experiences at different times of day.

I have "Flavor ADD" and like changing up somewhat often. Multiple tanks is an easy way to do that.

If your budget will allow, consider at least a 2nd mod (backups are a glorious thing)

Thanks for the reply.

Apologies for the vagueness of an "ideal setup" question...

I don't really have an "ideal" setup per say but am simply looking for bigger clouds although good flavor is equally, if not more important. Something small and pocket-able for semi-heavy daily use. Box or not doesn't matter but 18650 compatible/replaceable for sure and good quality to last awhile. As for toppers, willing to go rebuildable as getting real tired of buying coils @ $2+ a pop.

A recap of my ecig "career" so far...

Quit analogs Dec. 31 2014.
First device: ego twist 900mah & Kanger Mini Protank3. Still smoking analogs since vape strength wasn't cutting it.
2. Aspire k1 glasso with same batteries. Better flavor and vapor production for sure. Still smoking analogs though much less.
3. Zmax Mini vv/vw (6v/15w max), same k1 glasso. At full power, finally strong enough to quit analogs. Dropped it and cracked the glass after a month. Quite sad...
4. Friend gave me a Nautilus mini, been using it ever since and still analog free. I use 3 or 6mg nic juice mainly 50/50 or slightly more vg about 4-5 mils a day give or take. 6v pushing Nautilus coils @ 2.2ohms off a Panasonic ncr18650 3400mah. Batteries last almost 2 days which is more than ok. I only really need a day at most as I have a few which I keep in rotation.

I don't have much experience with toppers of diff brands other than my protank and aspire but prefer Aspire tanks HUGELY over Kangers. I want something that can match the flavor of my Nautilus mini at least and bigger clouds would be a plus but not required. I guess I am looking to save money in the long run by rebuilding attys but definitely not a dripper although I may get one for strictly home use.

A few comparisons of different mods/toppers to the flavor/performance of a Nautilus mini or k1 glasso(@6v and/or 15w) would be sweet.

You've been here long enough to know it isn't "probably the best place".

Lol Rat. ecf IS the best. Can't argue with that!

Thanks Steve.

BTW, Just got my Sig mini 30w and a Lemo 2. Running it at 30w on a .6ohm coil which I built myself. My first coil build but I did copy the stock one that it came with. The coil build itself was easier than I thought(thanks to the info I received here...) but the wicking part is where I can see myself getting frustrated. The j cotton is so delicate and easy to tear. I guess I don't have the finesse YET....

I must say that I am impressed with the vapor and flavor produced by this setup. I am using 3mg juice since now since the 8mg I was using in my old mod was too frickin strong in this new one. I even vape less throughout the day and feel much more satisfied after taking just a few puffs. I used to have to chain vape my old Nautilus mini for a few minutes to feel the same as I do after 3 or 4 slow and smooth lung hits from the Lemo2. Its really a game changer for me since now my batteries will last longer, I can save money by rebuilding, and I vape less on lower nic juice. Although the sweet aftertaste from the same juice is a bit more pronounced in the nautilus compared to the lemo. Not a big deal though.

Today was only my first full day using this new setup and I am trippin balls that it is so much better than my previous setup. I really had no idea what I was missing...

Goodbye analogs forever!
