Seems like the Reo has a big fan base.

I have never wanted a rda as I am usually vaping "on the go" and they seemed like that would be a pain.

The Reo looks like the best of both worlds. I have no experience with this mod or dripping. Currenty stuck on the KFL+

It seems that i will need a "bottom feeding" rda. Any suggestions on the best device to use?

Can any RDA be modified to work with the Reo?

You aren't required to use an RDA on the REO.
You could use a cartomizer, or an unsealed dripping atty on it as well!

But, to answer your question, not any RDA can be modified for bottom feeding capability, but some can!
http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/reos-mods/377836-reo-compatible-rbas.html

If you want a REO, I would highly suggest an RM2 to go with it. Such an easy rebuildable to set up.
But, like I said, you don't have to put a rebuildable on top of it. It's up to you!

I suggest coming over to REOville to see why the fan base loves the REO in all of its forms. :)

With a REO+RM2 combo, it's not a pain for on the go. That's all I leave the house with. Since excess juice flow back into the bottle, it's not a pain at all. No leaking ever. And since you don't need to drip, you can vape one-handed on the go as opposed to having to manually drip juice onto your wick(s).

thank you...

yeah the Reo seems like the best option for on the go flavor goodness...

thank you for the links. very helpful.

but here is a Rant for a product i have not even ordered!... I start off knowing very little about the product besides how it works; would be nice to understand more of the specs but REOSmods site leaves much to be desired. like product descriptions that provide useful information. Will the mini work with the rm2? i gotta assume and by looking at this chart you provided it seems good to go.(good bit of info REOSmods may want to clearly put on THEIR site!) I mean the RM2 description says it works with all metal reo's and of course the mini i am ordering is metal, it says so write in the descrip.....doh! Pretty sure its aluminum. I can click back and read the "about" on the main page that is pretty clear, my bad should have spent time reading the front page instead of going right to the "shop" to spend my money. Im impatient but basic specs on the product pages might be nice.

not sure if the Reomizer comes with a drip tip. shows one in the picture, but that's not much of a guarantee. If it's not included is it a 510 drip tip? i assume it is...but if i'm wrong that will suck when it arrives and i don't have one that fits.

Does the Mini 2.1 come with a juice bottle? what size is that? would be nice to know so i could buy spares. gee maybe the spare bottle product description tells me what it fits in...nope not there either. guessing game. Video shows a oring used to adjust RM2... is that included? seems available on the site as an extra or is that as a spare? Who knows? do they want my 200 bucks or do they want me sending them emails?

end rant

LOL, relax Rosco (your post sounds funny in my head because I am hearing Roscos voice saying all that) All valid questions. I too had many questions before I bought my first REO.
A lot of them can be answered by just checking the REOmods forum and looking around. I agree you shouldn't have to, and his website really does need help, but it is a one man operation and he spends a lot of his time in the supplier forum answering questions and interacting with his buyers.

I'm sure a friendly email or phone call (I think you could even PM him if you want RedEyeDancer is his forum name) will get the responses you need, again, you shouldn't have to jump through hoops, but it's just part of the experience of using a bespoke manufacturer who spends most of his time actually making the devices he sells rather than fixing his dang website...

Don't worry. I am here to help as are many other REOnauts!

You've found your answer, but yes, the RM2 will work on the Mini 2.1.

The RM2 comes with a drip tip, but you can use any 510 drip tip that you'd like.

When you order your Mini, it should come with 2 juice bottles (one already installed). But, you can order more if you'd like to do so. For the minis, the bottle size is 3ml.
It will also come with an O-ring that's great for adjusting your RM2 on top. Once again, you can order spares, but that's up to you.

Two spare things that I suggest you order with your first purchase, though:
An extra battery spring and an extra feed tube just in case.

The RM2 has been modified (milled) to work with ALL metal REOs. However, there are options to consider. Rob has started making a low profile Grand. This is one that has the drip cup milled down. Using this mod, any RBA that can be modified for bottom feed can be used. If you order the low profile, you would probably NOT want a milled RM2. The metal REOs are made with aircraft grade aluminum. They are milled from a solid block, so the only seam is the door, which slides in tracts and is secured by magnets.

All of the RM2 atomizers come with an oring to assist in aligning the air hole properly with the mod (it is already aligned with the coil). The one that comes with the RM2 is the small one. Some people need the larger one that is on the site. The RM2 comes with a delrin drip tip. This is a plain Jane drip tip, but you can use any drip tip that is sized for a 510 connection. (7 mm, I believe). You will want the air hole facing up when you press the fire button. Otherwise, you may get whistling and gurgling.

Your question about bottles has been already answered. However, some people like to switch flavors a lot. In that case, it is helpful to have multiple bottles for multiple flavors. Also, if you are going to be out and about for an extended amount of time, you might want to have extra bottles of juice along with batteries. So, that is why people like to order extra bottles. My wife has a mini that has been in use for about 2 years and is still using the original bottle. (They do not wear out much.)

Depending on your style of vaping, you might want to enlarge the size of the air hole in the RM2. The cap on the RM2 is brass that has been chrome plated. It is extremely easy to enlarge the air hole. You can use a drill bit (turning it with your fingers) or diamond tipped craft files, or even a safety pin. Just be very careful when/if you do attempt to enlarge it. You can easily make the hole too large. Extra (replacement) caps for the RM2 are also available on the site.

Welcome, Rosco! :)
Thank you for pointing some issues out...as you've read it's a very small operation and the website needs updating. I'll see what I can do about some of it. Not sure why the 2.1 info isn't showing up though. I'll take some time and see if I can revise the product info tabs to provide more information. A lot has changed in the last year and I've been remiss in updating the information about new developments. You're always welcome to contact Rob (redeyedancer) directly via PM or phone...he's always happy to help answer questions...and as you probably know by now, our little corner of the ECF is full of information and helpful people.

I'm not sure of your circumstances regarding things electrical, but if you're getting the RM2, it's a good idea to have a way to check it's resistance (a multimeter). The needed items that *don't* come with the REO can be bought from RTDVapor (AW IMR batteries, a charger, multimeter, etc.). It's my understanding that the guy that runs RTD is a REO owner himself, you can use code ECF5 for a 5% discount.

We get that you think your collection of vape gear is growing, but you'll likely find, once you get the hang of a REO, that you'll be selling off the other stuff due to lack of use.

Welcome to REOville! :)

Just as an aside, the AW IMR batteries are recommended for good reason, you'll get a noticably better vape with those than almost anything else. If you don't already have them, do yourself a favor and grab a few so you can really experience how good a vape you can get.
