5 summers ago I was sharing a dorm with my older brother during summer school.
It was soooo horrible. We listened to this album all the time, and every time I hear it now, I remember how horribly boring summer that was.

Zzyzx Rd - Stone Sour
Hard to believe the lead singer Corey Taylor and the guitarist Jim Root also perform with/as Slipknot.

I've always liked this song but after my Mom passed away in 2008 from a fast moving cancer, 3 weeks from diagnosis to passing, it took on a new meaning to me. She passed on 7/3 so it was kind of a summer song for me. Not for fun but for mourning and healing. Ok, I'll make the next one upbeat, I promise.

"My" Condolences about the loss of "Your" Mom and can fully understand WHY that song would mean a lot to "You" . . .
