I cant imagine dish liquid would be very tasty:p I have not been able to get some of the stronger flavors (like licorice) out with just water. I was also wondering if Hydrogen peroxide would work. I am a little concerned about "melting" the clearo with alcohol or Hydrogen peroxide. My Chem is 30 years old and I don't know if these liquids would react with the plastic.

it has been suggested to not vape rubbing alcohol. If warm water washing does not eliminate the flavor you want, I would suggest another clearo. You can get 6 of them at fasttech for $8.+, shipped. I have gotten to the point where I do not even bother washing, mixing juices has led to some very interesting flavors!

I live in an alcohol free house hold and do not (can not) have vodka around. Can I use rubbing alcohol or will that leave a bad taste? What else could I use to soak my clearo in to get the old flavor out?

Thanks,

John

2/3 distilled water with 1/3 apple vinegar

Give it a bath in this for 2 hours.......Rinse it out ONCE again with plain distilled water (if u have a lot) or hot tap water......shake it good, fill it.

Hydrogen Peroxide is just an atom off from water - 100% safe on plastic. Rubbing alcohol is also safe. Both are bottled in nothing-special plastic and sold over the counter. The peroxide is just in brown plastic because light can break it down slowly into water, so they keep it potent that way.

Don't mix them together & don't get either in your eyes, & keep alcohol away from an open flame & you should be fine.

Licorice is an insidious flavor that is very hard to wash out. Rubbing alcohol is probably your best bet, but you may be SOL w/ that flavor. Rubbing alcohol shouldn't leave anything behind as long as you rinse w/ water after and let it dry all the way. Technically you shouldn't have to rinse but there are usually impurities in over-the-counter chems. If your tap water is full of minerals you may need to find some distilled water for rinsing.

Follow-up advice would be to get into rba's.

The mail man stepped on my porch as I was reading this. Two mt3's for my mini ego with replacement 1.8ah coils :toast:

I saw the 8$ deal from fastech but wasn't sure of them. As long as they work, I will order some more today.

That licorice sure does linger I like it mixed (gently) in to an American Tobacco.

RBA's......because my credit card hasn't seen enough action lately:D

Thanks Every One !

Edit: And a package from Mt. Baker! These guys Rock! I know taste is subjective, but there customer service is a business model. Really. I even was so bold as to suggest what my "freebie" should be with specific strenght and mix and they sent it to me with the mix hand writen on the lablel. A huge two thumbs up to these guys. Loaded Cinnamon Roll in to the new cart with the low resistance coil. Mmmmmm and things will only get better with steeping and break in!
