alternative ways to clean?

Be careful with that minty stuff, it can migrate into every coil and tank you have!! Click on my name and see my posts on Kringles Curse. I'm still fighting this insideous stuff, I am truly cursed. I've soaked, rinsed, soaked, rinsed with any number of things and still it lingers. It has found it's way into most all of my tanks and batteries. Beware!!

I never use soap.

I think Everclear is a great idea, but I also think it's a waste of perfectly good booze!

I rinse it under hot tap water using a sieve,
soak it briefly in rubbing alcohol,
thoroughly rinse it under hot tap water again,
then let it air dry overnight.

I never dry burn. I preserve the wick that way.

My trick is that I clean them all the time
and never refill when it gets halfway down.
I just dump it and refill with fresh juice after a cleaning.

There is always going to be some residual eLiquid smell. That just never goes away.
