Since cleaning my attys none of them taste right (all under a week old). I did the alcohol cleanse, then flushed with hot water, blew through and air dried. I've tried to use 2 of my freshly cleaned attys today and neither of them are producing anything but horrid burned flavor. I'll drip 2 drops, take a hit and it'll be flavor heaven. Second vape and any other vape is HORRID.

Is there a "break in period" after each cleaning that I don't know about???

PS: This is a joye eGo 510 with 510 attys (not LR).

It's more like priming the atty for dripping, especially with an atty that is clean or new. Give it a kick start with 3 or 4 drops, then keep it going with 2 or 3 afterward. You'll get the hang of it in no time!

I see =)

I dripped 4 drops, vaped a couple times, then dripped another 3 and it's working like a charm now! I haven't had any nic in 4 hours and I was literally about to throw it against the wall, haha. I'm on day 4 without a analog!!!!

Thanks for all the quick replies everyone! I was worried that I had ruined all my attys! =/

New attys need to be broken in. Happens to everyone.

I remember the physical withdrawal. I accidentally went too low on my nic level thinking Newport had less nicotine than it actually does.

I keep 18 for normal vaping and 24-36 for really bad days, or when I can't get outside with the smokers or around a corner to vape as often. Closed room meetings aren't an easy place to stealth.

not ruined. I also use the 510s. after cleaning it takes me 4-5 drops then just a couple draws, 3 drops, a couple more drags, and normally another 3 drops to get it primed and functioning the way I like. After that it is back to normal a couple drops every 10 or so draws. until the mesh in the atty becomes saturated (but not flooded) you will only get a couple good draws before flavor changes.

When you ruin an atty you'll know it because it just won't work anymore. Congrats on your 4th day analog free! I'm glad that dripping is working out for you now. I thought I'd never drip, but I really enjoy it now. I can't wait until I get a 5V PT. Dripping is really going to rock then!

Thanks for the support! I actually started vaping with dripping. I've never touched a cart and don't really plan on it. I really enjoy dripping. As far as analogs go... this winter has been BRUTAL so far, and I spend half my time in Chicago and half in Maryland... so I'm done with smoking outside while freezing and shaking. And vaping makes my hospital rounds 10000x easier being I can go in the lounge and sneak in a vape from time to time =D

I hear ya! We haven't had any real winter weather here in Denver yet, but we've had some really cold days. I've been so glad that I don't have to do the "shake and smoke" anymore. I'm becoming more open with vaping in my office and haven't heard any complaints yet.

I gather you might be a doctor with the reference to making rounds and working between two different states. I used to be a paramedic/respiratory therapy tech. How ironic it was for me to smoke and hold both licenses!

Fourth year medical student studying general surgery, specializing in neurosurgery. Doing rounds at Johns Hopkins Hospital, going to do my residency at NorthShore Neurological Institute in Chicago.

Kind of funny you smoked and were a respiratory therapy tech! =p
