having same problem Tom.. i'm new to clearos.. got a coupel Redux's and a couple nova's myself..

i just bought the iclear 30's which i've read are WAY better .. i will find out tonight when i load it up
i cleaned it all out last night since it had the worst 'shoe smell' after taking it out of the package

i'll let you know the results.. from what i heard these might be the best clearo's to get but they are a bit more expensive

i was able to get 2 for 20$ .. but if they last its worth the $

I personally don't like taste in certain clearos, which have you tried?

It can be hard to distinguish between the different kind of nasty tastes. Assuming it's 'plastic touching the juice' taste and not 'plastic is burning at the head' taste, rinse the clearo thoroughly with high proof vodka and dry it out with a paper towel. You can rinse the wick part too, but they have to get bone dry before you use them again.

All my vivi nova experiences involved horrible burning plastic tastes (that was the little white ring that's supposed to keep the coil from touching the edges burning) but your mileage may vary, lots of people love em.

I have had luck with the BCC Mega, which is still not perfect, but has a very nice thick and rich vape to it when you do the 'wick trick' that PB shows in his video. Right now I am waiting on a Protank. It is a nice looking glass tank with the same heater as the BCC Mega, essentially. I have tried the Vivi, the T2, the CE4 and the T3. I was happiest out of that lot with the T2, which I will occasionally still use. The others were a dreadfully frustrating experience.

yeah clearomizers, thats a bit of a subject in it's own right. some are "okay" for taste you get. most have a plastic taste till about the third fill of juice. then you have to watch yourself on how many puffs you take on them(top coil types especially)you can easily burn a coil if the wick doesn't stay wet(and its nastier than a burnt carto in my opinion). 3-4 puffs and the wick will be dry, and time to start soaking the wick, before you keep going. I went back to cartomizer w/tanks after the failings i found with them.

they may work for you, definately not going to tell don't do it,

the biggest disapointment I think you will find is a massive lack of flavor,or severe muting there of.

bout to try a anyvape bcc, skeptical if they will handle chain vaping like i do and how good the flavor will be vs my dual coil carto tanks i am very fond of now.

Make sure you lift the top wick, and ONLY the top wick on that BCC. No dry hits if you do that. You will see that the lion knows his clearos....

so filled up the innokin iclear30 last night... and its amazing!

i had cleaned it out the day before with just hot water and let it sit for 24 hours.. no dry hits .. no burnt taste.. just awesome flavor/vapor..

it does gurggle a little bit.. but other than that.. havent had 1 single issue.. and also dont even need to tip it on its side that often ..

i won't get any other clearo at this point.. try them out if u can find them somewhere

I was looking to try a T2, CE3, etc etc. I just took my mini nova and the other clearo I ordered and threw them in some cheap vodka I had laying around. After soaking all night I will rinse, dry, and try again to see if it helped to kill the plastic taste. I LOVE the taste I get with my ego mega dual coil cartyys but they eventually will get costly to keep replacing so I would like to find a clearo that works for me.

I'm a die hard carto tank guy. The Iclear 30 is the only clearo I've tried that produces an acceptable vape. Innokin T3 is acceptable but that's about it and a little fussy. The rest are pretty much crap, IMHO.
