I clean my nautilus tanks with hot water, when I change the coil throw the used one away. When you go onto building make sure you read and know Ohms Law to ensure your builds are safe. I build my coils to .8 up to 1.5 and love the added flavor they can produce. Am going to purchase a Atlantis to see if they produce more flaver not for the clouds.

Good info Steve! and thanks for addressing one of my questions. If you try the atlantis, let me know what you think.

if you do get a RDA. best to start with the basics. a patriot clone might well be a good place to learn and pretty inexpensive as well. there will be time ahead for adjustable airflow and more complicated builds. as a matter of fact my "go to" set up is a copper mech and a Patriot RDA with 5/64 air holes. great flavor and lots of vapor .if you are anything like me its a natural progression and everything else is pretty bland after trying a good build with proper wicking..best of luck.

Thanks for this advice, and I appreciate you recommending a RDA tank to start with. That give me a bit of research, but yea I am similar, I tend to just take small steps, hence the title of this thread. I figure a started with cig a likes, moved to a PV and now to a mech mod. I like the progression, just want to make sure I am not getting ahead of myself. I figure the mech mod with a tank is still progression, but I feel like I want more control. I hate trouble shooting something that I do not fully understand, hence the interest in mechs
