Reading through the threads and I keep seeing a recurring theme..... Reo reo reo......
am I the only person who doesn't really want one? I understand the concept and see the attraction in the way of flavour of dripping yet ease of a tank system, simple and nothing to really go wrong, but I just love being able to get the same vape every time no matter what the charge on my battery is, is it bad that I'd love a reo but with a regulated power control?

Really the only time the vape changes on mine for me is when I need a new battery anyways. I prefer the simplicity and confidence knowing that if something goes wrong with it I can fix it myself in a few minutes with the right parts. If something would happen to a regulated device I wouldn't know where to start. But everyone has their own preferences so it doesn't make you crazy, you just like what you like.

For me the others take too much muscle ability and coordination. I can't vape with my one good right hand and do things like type or keep my eyes on the forum with the others but most times I can still vape using my spastic left hand and hang here using the istick. :)

I can relate to that especially when the bottle gets below a 1/4 filled it takes some heavy duty squonking even for me.

I have had one for a long time now and I haven't used since I went to see Clark and Katy to put their sub ohm kits in their Reos which is probably a good 6 months ago. I wasn't getting the flavor from it that I wanted. I was looking for an Origin V2 bottom feeder kit but at the time, there were none in stock. I have been giving it eyes here lately and will be doing a clean up and new build in it soon. I do think they are worth the money if you are looking for a mech that is built to last. These things are tanks and if you drip then it is the perfect driving setup.

I was so hesitant also because of price. I see so many people with so many mods and I didn't want to collect them (I had 5 at the time). I tried the REO back in August, found out I could build a coil and I liked it. I have used it every day since getting it and nothing else. It has never let me down and if it acted weird there was a reason....low battery, etc. A while back I sold all my stuff and made $100 towards a second REO. I want to have two different builds going at the same time comparing different attys. hehe I do love my REO....but saw at a vape meet up last weekend the istick I think it was? So tiny and cute and yes it gets the job done. I would get one of those if I were in the market. Me loving my vaping depends on my coil build and a battery. I say use what works, I just seem to like it simple.

I understand about not wanting to change what is working for you and that is what is so great about where we live and vaping in general. Everyone is free to choose what works for them. I too was concerned about vape without regulated power but no matter what I did I could not get a consistent vape with tanks as the heads changed, leaked, flooded etc...Then I switched to carto tanks and for a few months I fought it but in the end I just did not get the hang of them. I finally splurged on a REO and was able to get a hassle free consistent vape hour after hour and day after day. Yea the battery drains and the vape drops off a little but I do not find the difference between 4.2 and 3.9 significant with my builds. I now have a nice collection of REO's and enjoy them beyond words. I have had other mechs and some top of the line regulated box mods but for me I found my happy place.

Some like them and some do not and that is ok by me. There are flavors of juice that people swear are the best ever that I do not like. I wish everyone a successful journey with what makes them happy.

I actually had a REO that I bought on the classies and only used it for a week and resold it! I actually don't feel like I gave it enough time to adjust to the learning curve and I catch myself being tempted to consider another one someday. But to be honest, I love my ISticks with my aerotanks, Nautilus mini and hopefully my Lemo. Even my MVPS and mini protanks still get used! To me it is just easier and I am happy with the vape. So in short Cowboy, the REO is awesome but I also like to adjust my vape!

I'm really wishy-washy. I have 2 Reo Mech's, and 2 VV's. They are great for flavor with just the little RM 2's on top, beat everything I had until I learned the right coils (and how to get them in position without screwing them up), and the right wick to install in an Aqua. Then, the Aqua V2's came out, a marked improvement in design and twice the capacity of the originals (which was a pitiful 2 ml's or so). Since then, other than the Woodville I recently snatched off the classifieds, I've not touched the Reo's. The Aqua V2's are flavor beasts and you just hit the button and vape.

The reo vapes much more consistently than you might think. Even though it's not regulated, it gives me a great vape each and every pull. I was using a dna 30 before and loved it, but I love the incredibly lower maintenance that the reo has to offer compared to other equipment I've used in the past.

Honestly, just use what you like, that's most important.

I like the Reo because it's dead simple and because I can taste my juice. In other set-ups, it was much too complicated, I had to have a different battery for this and that and so on and I just didn't get the benefit of the full flavor of my juice. With the Reo, I get great, consistent flavoring with minimal maintenance. I like the "ma and pop" shop (Rob, so no "ma", but you get my drift). I knew if I had an issue I could get it to him to fix and he'd have it back in a blink of an eye. I fully support little "ma and pop" stores and that was one of the many things that won me over with Nicoticket, too. I like loyalty. That's probably silly, but I do. I do go to another vendor for a coconut vape that Clark does not have, but for the most part, 99% of the time, I stay with Nicoticket.

AND, I have a eGo battery that I vape on that was a gift from someone very special in my life. I use that everyday for my second flavor (which is now PBC, yum). But it has special meaning behind it.

Just my two cents.

Maybe I should give them a try some time then, I thought there would be quite a big drop off as the bettery runs down.

Nothing wrong with having a bit of loyalty, good customer service and being treated like a friend rather than a bit of profit is worth a lot, and Clark at nt certainly knows how to look after people!

I did not want one, vaped for 3.5 years before I got one, and only use it once or twice a week. I honestly get better flavor out of my tanks, use less juice, and don't have to deal with dry hits.

I admit I want a REO but I also admit I don't think the prices are realistic (to me anyway). I think I want one just so I can be accepted in all the REO chat threads...to be "in".

That isn't a good reason to buy a Reo, in my opinion. I participated just fine on all the threads here without one.

I think that is part of my problem: I don't like the RM2 and need to find a better BF atty. Been building my own coils a long time and have learned to tweak my builds for the best flavor out of each juice I vape. That makes it easy to put off searching for a better topper for the Reo.

Penguiness, have you ever looked at this? The 2014 Cyclone Bottom Fed RDA by Vicious Ant That came along with the loaner Reo I was using and it was wonderful. It was just out of my price range.

Take care,
Dani

No, not the only one :) - I'm another that's happy as I am with my iSticks and MVP's & iPow's for back-ups.
I like it all to be as 'plug 'n play' as it can be :thumb:
