I couldn't agree with you more. I have agonized over the question of why. Many will tell you that it's all about money. I think it is partly about that, but it's more than that. I think they are starting out with a flawed set of premises and basing all their decisions and actions on that set.
  • Nicotine is an addictive drug, no different than alcohol, ......, or ........
Your post flashed me to an interesting OT thought about this forum. Since, for some reason, it is prohibited to mention (oh that wonderful 1st amendment that protects us from the government doing this) certain products such as ....... or ....... or ....... on this forum since they are "illegal" drugs, we have a clouded future.

If the FDA succeeds in making the e-cig a drug and drug delivery device and illegal until approved by the FDA, will we need to talk in code about the PV?

I just got a new ........ that has a ..... ...... which generates a tremendous about of vapor. The flavor from my ........ .... ..... really is tasty and I'd suggest anyone that likes ..... should give it a try.

I'm sure that there is some logical reason that such censorship is required, but the reason escapes me. I'd really like to understand why ..... which is prescribed in some states and certainly not FDA approved and illegal federally, has not been banned by the FDA until they have approved its use. I guess they've lost some of their control over doctors in that arena.

Now I'm not opposed to the use of ....... and have even used ..... and ..... and .... and ... on occasion in an earlier point in my life. I even did some illegal things like, .... and ..... and.... and even ....... However, I didn't get caught so I guess it's all good. :2cool:

This is the funniest thing I have read in a long time. From the article:

tobacco smoke also can move through cracks in walls and floors, through elevator shafts, and along plumbing and electrical lines, according to an article in the June 17 New England Journal of Medicine that advocates a ban on smoking in public housing.

I was immediately reminded of some B horror film where a blob-like monster oozes into people's homes when they are asleep, and eats them....LOL

These anti-smokers have truly and completely gone insane...and become monuments to raging paranoia. They ALL need to see psychiatrists before they harm themselves. LOL

I strongly beleve one of the reasons some people are so against PV's is all about control.
These people I call "Control Freaks". These people can't stand the idea that we have found a way to continue the use of nicotine and that it looks to them like we are still smoking.

Right now they have no way of forcing us to bow to their will and do as the say and it angers them to no end. They will do anything to regain their power over us, they will not listen to any reason, evidence, personal experiences etc. These people would have us all packed into box cars and shipped to "Work Camps" if they could. (I'll skip the shower)

Then of course their is alot of ignorance out there regarding are Life Saving Devices. It scares some people who see us exhaling what looks like smoke. Their is hope for the ignorant, they will listen and be educated.

The control freaks, what to do about them? Only thing I know of that works is to shot them. Any other ideas, suggestions are welcome.

Tempting, but we are civilized. Perhaps we should banish them to a place where there are like-minded control freaks. How does Afghanistan sound ? :D

Jerry, would you really do that to the poor Afghans? It might be a good place for them though, I think I read somewhere that less than 10% of their population smokes cigarettes. However, another 5% smoke O and then there is H, and I don't have any idea about M. So many choices of who to look down on, so little time.

They have lost all touch with reality, which is a good thing maxx. The more they appear to have lost their sanity, the less serious they will be taken, by those who still retain theirs.

D103, if you keep agreeing with me, I will become concerned about your sanity !!!:toast::lol:
Okay Jerry your on.....I Disagree with you on this one. The scary thing to me is that, what I see is the more 'they' appear to have lost their sanity, the "more" seriously they are taken. It is like some twilight zone: crazy = valid, parallel universe. And this is the true "Catch 22" that we call America!

This is stressing me out. The press and the misinformed sound very convincing to the ignorant.

Here's a killing, misinformed, outright deceptive line that can be used to convince DROVES of nonsmokers, including congress to ban them:

ecigs use a highly addictive and dangerous substance(NICOTINE),contain carcinogenic juice, are being marketed to teens, havent been around long enough to be deemed as safe, and contain DEG which is a ingredient in ANTIFREEZE! The FDA and AMA said so!!!

In America we have the free exchange of ideas and freedom of speech, but as long as the press is used to persuade millions of Americans that e-cigs are far worse than they actually are I can see these things getting banned because of manipulation and exploiting ignorance.

I wish there was some sort of awareness campaign or SOMETHING that set the record straight! But all we have is a few blogs which are only frequented by ALREADY convinced vapers and aren't getting national attention that they need.

The problem is there isn't enough debate and dialogue happening with the non-informed or unaware. Most are only getting one side of the story, and that is coming directly from the FDA and Associations with a trusting reputation.

I only HOPE that the court will remain unbiased and adhere to the scientific method and not go by the outlandish claims made by the watchdogs. I guess we'll find out by september... If ecigs are banned, I'll fight to get my stuff elsewhere i guess :(
