American standard to Metric conversion chart (in <-> mm)

Hi everyone, I have been modding for a while and always seem to need to figure out what size drill bit to use to make a hole for a particular mod i.e. hole size for attys, mouth pieces etc... So I threw together a quick excel spread sheet that converts in to mm.
I also added the decimal equivalent of the fraction in inches. Thought it might be helpful.

I'm having trouble opening it. I'm guessing you're using a later version of Microsoft than I am; I have '03. Any chance of converting it for us dinosaurs?!

just multiply decimal (english) x 25.4 to get metric and divide mm by 25.4 to convert to english

Just use metric,, it's much easier.

You can download a Word and Excel converter so that your older excel can read newer files from Microsoft for free.

Divide fractions big number into little number 3/8"=.375 then add whole number. Then multiply by 25.4 and viola lol. Metric beats the heck out of Am Standard.

When I worked on cars, other mechanics would ask what American wrench would fit which metric bolt. I always answered them that "there is NO American wrench that will fit, get off your wallet and go buy the metric wrenches". conversion chart or not you can't drill a metric hole with an American drill bit.
