When i started off back in early 2011, cost me about S$40 for a pretty basic typical 510 set from dx with some juices(Very small quantity). Got a usb passthru for it as well for use in the office due to it's 180mah battery.
Damage so far after switching to a eGo-T, Lavatube, Provari Mini and currently a iTaste VTR?? Cant really remember thou.. Would usually sell off old equipment to defray cost for new(Not into collecting) but one thing i know for sure is my health improves by quite a fair amount. $ spend on vaping is definitely lower than what i would have spend on analogs back then till now.

Hmm $200 is still not that bad. Still cheaper than spending on marl light (me >>> 1 pack per day) in the long run.

Kanger Evod kit and juice $60
I have just googled that Kanger Evod kit, and they got 5 stars overall. Seems to be good. Gonna put it under my wish list
You're liable to fall into one of two camps - either you will find vaping to be up to 1/5th the cost of smoking or it will become a hobby for you and, as such, will represent an ongoing investment that's probably going to cost more than smoking.
To get started, you should be able to get a good starter kit for <$100 (the Kanger EVOD kit is one I recommend). After that, it's all about juice and coil units (or cartos). That is, unless (like most of us) you begin to yearn for more toys, and then............

My wife and I quit smoking at the same time. We were both 1 1/2 packs a day. At $7 a pack we were spending $140 a week on cigs. So we decided that would be our allowance for ecigs. So many people here look at the cost of ecig products and forget about the cost of smoking.
A year later,we were so far ahead of the game, we decided to buy a brand new truck. Hows that for incentive?

Glad your health improved. Seems that you have used a lot of brands, how long can a kit last before it started to spoilt due to wear and tear? Or we can use replace the broken piece?

It pretty much depends on how long do you think you can stretch your setup with the amount spent. So far I'll probably break-even within 1.5 months but I believe the kit will last for at least 6 months down the road with ample juice supply.
I don't intend to make it into a hobby any time soon, so I'm sticking to one - for now.
In my early vaping, I started with Leo Pro, then K100 for 2 weeks. As a smoker at the point, I never had enough as I continue to search for TH and replacement for analog so I stick to my monthly expenditure of analog. Till date, I have spend over $2k over 6months including juices. After so many tries and getting failure to get replacement for analog, I have finally found genesis are good for me and have never look back. Now it is the poison of juices flavour rather than tanks or mod. So my monthly expenditure drops from $400 to mere $150 ~$200 max.
So vaping has turned me into a hobbyist of mod, tanks and juices .
Well, what I had spent is worth the $ and have a healthy lifestyle

Haven use one long enough to see the day they are laid to rest..Change as mods improves the experience of vaping..Better flavour, consistent power and better vapor/TH.
Told the guy who took over my provari mini that what you have now is a continental(Provari mini + protank with rebuilt coils) car vs a proton(His old ego battery + clearomizer)..
1st kit > eGo-T > 1st gen Lavatube > Provari Mini > iTaste VTR(Current)...Waiting for the DNA 30 to do my own box mod..
My wife always says the same thing...It was suppose to help you quit smoking but u have been using it for the past 3 years..My reply, it's like a hobby to me now..
Well, a few clones rda/rba/mods and 2 r91,2 d30s. Plus juice,rebuilding mics, and boom about 1.1k damage in 4 months. At least they keep me away from analogs, lastly the health to spend. Worth every pennies as long it keeps me away from analogs

definitely can if its a mech mod . clone or no clone , get at least SS mod with good threadings.
rba try not to drop so much and ur good .
6 months only running cost will be rebuilding materials and juice
