I just wanted to retract some of my ill feelings of doubt for the batch of boge 2.0 ohm LR that I got from Surevapes. I had a difficult and frustrating time getting my phiniac tank going. I think I did what most people do when they doubt they made a good purchase. I didnt want to think there was anything wrong with the tank, what with so many people in love with them, myself one of them. I kept thinking it was the cartos. Its was easier to blame something, anything other than me being lame. I was anxious and desparate to use it. I punched the first one with a hammer and nail and the carto got mishapened. It was allowing juice to slightly leak and the vacuum inside was off so juice would not flow. Then I tried using a dremmel and I put the slots too low not allowing the juice to really get int there. I also made the slots too deep letting the juice get inside the coil and flooding. I kept seeing some post regarding others that had issues with their cartos not performing to the usual standards so I just blamed the cartos and blamed the vendor for sending duds out. Vendors that do such a high volume cant spend the time to make sure that every one out there was good. Nor could they send everyone that is inexperienced and mess the cartos up thru user error. I know that a million users of boge cant be wrong and all the reviewers and expert users would not swear by them. So again, in the worlds of Emily Latella : Nevermind........

Sounds like a mess. Have you tried punching your cartos? Consider going down to Home Depot and getting a saddle valve from the plumbing section.

This is what I've been using. Punches a perfect hole, and you can adjust how big you want your holes. For anything except 100% VG, I punch 2 holes and stop right after the popping sound of the needle going through. For VG, maybe a 3/4 turn past that.

Hello, and yes it was a mess of a time. I did get a carto punch and that makes a big difference. Most of the problems I had were due to user error. I found a method that works for me now. Its a combination of the various methods I found on youtube and the phinac sites how to's. Its funny I have punched quite a few cartos now, and only heard one pop. I just sort of feel it out once I feel resistance of the screw against the carto. I love the tank now, and I think Ive finally gotten my rhythm on all this stuff, I also got a syringe to fill the tank which is saving me a lot of spills with my juice. Im going to check out the saddle valve also. I thank you very much for the advise. BTW, with my thicker juices I use 2 holes on bottom and one on top. If I every try 100% Vg I think I might add an extra hole cause the cartos have a harder time staying wet. This has been quite a journey, but so worth it.
