The air holes are inside above the threads on the penstyle attys, but are usually small and hard to see.

Most have 4 little holes. Some are elongated and more of a tiny cut out at the top rim of the threads rather than a hole and you have to have a good magnification and light to see them. Great atty... I use the RN4072 and 302 penstyles 90% of the time.

Right moonless. The side holes on a 510 atty are absolutely necessary. Without them you would get no draw at all because the bottom hole has to fit snuggly against the battery post to complete the electrical circuit.

The 801 must have a different type of connector that does not require full contact with the base of the battery.

So that raises another question for me. What is the purpose of the bottom hole on the 510?
