Hello everyone. Just had to post this.

I recently took a trip to Jamaica for a week. Packed my usual carton of smokes, along with my ego-t. When I go on vacation, I usually go through a carton EASILY. I flew from St. Louis to Charlotte, and in the Charlotte airport my girlfriend and I stopped in the bar for a drink and some food. I asked the waitress if it was ok to smoke my e-cig and she said that was fine. People were looking at me like I had two heads! But I puffed away happily!

On the flight to Jamaica I asked the flight crew if it was ok, and they said no, just because if people saw smoke, they'd freak out - which was understandable - I hit the bathroom about halfway into the flight for a few puffs.

A strange thing happened after that. I smoked the ego-T exclusively. I actually tried a few regular cigs and they tasted like crap. I couldn't believe that I didn't need that crutch! I smoked about a half a pack (not even finishing most of the cigs) for the ENTIRE trip! This was HUGE for me.

People at the swim-up bar were asking about my e-cig, and I told them all about how great it was.

After I returned home, I've only smoked 2 cigs - and just a couple puffs each.

I turned a corner here, and I don't even know how. I was an extreme smoker - especially when drinking - but every time I take a puff off the analogs, it just tastes horrible!

I thought I wouldn't be able to EVER get away from those things, but this vacation did it for me...and I don't even know how! But I'm loving it!

Just thought I'd share - sorry if this is too long-winded - I'm just really excited about the fact that I haven't smoked an analog in so long and I don't even care to anymore.

....I too thought that when I was out with the fellas having a few that it would be hard to resist the stinkies but I can't even stand the smell of them anymore. I happily vape away at the bar.

So glad you brought this up, xanderxman. Last Saturday, I had no choice but to attend a charity fundraiser event for a dear friend that is ill. The venue was the local VFW club. Anyone that has ever visited military fraternal clubs (at least in my state) knows that 98% of the people smoke. I went, took a charged Twist and even the Prov for backup. As expected EVERYONE was smoking, but I never once craved one. Now I WAS steadily sucking on my ecigs, but in reality, their cigarette smoking was just neutral to me. I did not care if they did it or didn't -- I was as interested as a 5 year old. Luckily the weather was nice (TS Isaac winds were blowing through) so all doors were open and the place was not smoky. After I got home, I did notice the stink on my clothes and hair and took a long shower. The best thing is that I attracted lots of people over to find out exactly what I was "smoking" and many wrote down the ECF website URL.

Summary: I spent five hours there surrounded by smokers and never even once considered smoking a cig. My hazelnut-almond and tropical fruit basket liquids in my two ecigs were sooo much more enjoyable.

Good for you SeaBrz. I had a similar incident the third day I was vaping. I ride to lunch with a buddy at work a couple times a week and he was a heavy smoker. My first trip out with him was a true test. He lit up in the truck and I immediately felt ill. I rolled my window down a bit more and happily vaped away. The next day he asked about my experience with vaping and I happily passed on this website and some info about vaping. He is now using a V2 e-cig and hasn't smoked in almost two weeks.

Thats great! I quit smoking last week, not really for myself, but because I had disappointed my mother by not going to a stop-smoking conference with a hypnotist, so I decided to look into e-cigs 2 weeks ago, and I quickly ordered a Tornado Tank(Ego-T). That was one week ago that I got it, and I had 2 more cigs over the next 22 hours, then I just quit. It was easy, but now I am doing it for myself, not just my family, and I feel great about it!

I really like the Ego-T... It has a couple minor quirks, but what doesnt, 98% of the time it works well. I get nice vapor and nice throat hits.

Keep it up!

Great story and congratulations! The transition from smoking to vaping was seamless for me too. I kept smoking because I didn't want to feel deprived and one day I realized I hadn't lit up an analog so I decided to do so before I would go into convulsions (funny how the mind works). Took two puffs from it and had to put it out and threw the half pack of cigarettes away. No pain, no withdrawal symptoms, nada, done with stinkies. That was 7 months ago.

I don't even mind being next to smokers, it doesn't bother me at all, LOL.

Welcome to ECF!
