My understanding is that food coloring and other additives to change the color (like the recent unicorn milk thing) is what people are concerned about. Not the color changes that happen with steeping or even juices that are just dark colored.

Not very many juices are crystal clear or even if they start off that way, stay that way.

Gotcha. Well, I've bought some that have been like pink and so on from the get go. I had no idea about the additives? So, I guess that's bad.

-To my knowledge- Tan or golden brown is not an indicator of food coloring. I have some liquids that are clear, some that are slightly tan, and my ADV is actually a darker gold juice naturally. Just depends on the flavors they use as some are darker than others.

When you start to get blue, red, green, etc, that is when it is obvious there is some sort of coloring in it. I tend to stay away from those. I don't need my juice to be colored in order for me to enjoy it.

Are people saying that any juice that is not clear, is bad for you?

'Clear' does include all those yellow, pink, tan (etc.) liquids that you can see through. The ones to question are the ones you can't see through because they're milky. If it literally looks like plain coffee, no problem. If it looks like coffee with cream or a bottle of watery milk, it's worth finding out why. I've seen it in mostly citrus flavors, and it often indicates it contains oil, which is a problem in the lungs.
