An idea for an EGO batt (or any I guess)

I am interested in auto batteries, but I do not want to use a MIC for the switch.. Now this idea of mine isn't really a true AUTO battery I guess.. or is it??

What do you guys think about an auto ego batt where the switch is actually a human touch sensor IC attached to the metal cuff that loops around the battery where the current manual switch is located. I know it isn't really an auto battery, but it would eliminate a mechanical switch altogether and unless human skin touches the ring, it would not misfire. HUh? whaddayathink??

I haven't actually researched the IC's for a human touch sensor yet but I wouldn't think they are too large, but you never know. Has anyone ever worked with one of these IC's before?

If you plan on making a mod with an auto switch, it isn't to tough to use a mechanical one from a 901 (or any type i would guess). You just need to cut it 5/8 inch from the end and limit the airflow through end. Here are some pictures from one I have been dealing with.

I can't tell too much by those photo's, how is that auto switch setup?? Is it a pressure or air flow sensor or a mic listening for air rushing through the tube?

Do a search, touch switches have been discussed more that a few times. There's diagrams, suggestions, PCB board layouts, parts lists etc.

There is a wealth of information on these forums, pretty much anything you think of has been discussed, analyzed or built.

Yeah, I have a ton of things I want to try. Currently I am waiting on my batteries to die so I can start tearing them apart. I am new at this and I have no desire to tear apart a new battery to accomplish any of these. Maybe I'll just buy some parts at wadio shwag instead of waiting or from madvapes or something.

In the center there is a small rubber spring that has a small metal plate attached. With suction, it completes the circuit of the metal plates on either side of the center hole. If you didn't want to destroy a battery, you could purchase an auto usb pass-through ( https://strictlyejuice.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=67_72_73&products_id=366 ) for $14. With a bit of modifying you may not even have to soldier some of tiny connections for the auto switch. Just make battery connections for the usb wires midway into the pass-through.
