For ALL companies that ship out 'mods'...and I have NO intention of naming names, but all the mods I've received, with the exception of SuperT, have NOT sent them out with a simple instruction sheet attached.

How long would it take to write up a set of instructions for your mod? Five minutes? Tops? And, how long would it take to print off a sheet to include in the box when you ship it out? 30 seconds?

Now, don't get me wrong, I haven't had any issues with figuring these puppies out, right out of the box. BUT, the reason for that is NOT thanks to the vendor, it's thanks to ECF.

A simple sheet with instructions and recommendations would be appreciated. Not everyone out there is a member HERE. How are they supposed to put the battery in? Positive side up or down? Should the threads be 'Noaloxed' every once in a while? Is there any type of warranty on the unit? If so, how long? What does it cover? What are the vendors recommendations to keep it working at top performance and keep it looking it's best?

Easy to do, yet, it's not being done. Why not?

Personally, im going to go the opposite way on this. I did a lot of research before buying my Silver Bullet, and all the information is there on the site before you decide to buy it, including warranty information and proper maintenance. Once I placed the order, I went right to Lowes to get a bottle of Noalox and some metal cleaner so I could keep it in good shape. Just my 2 cents, but all the information is readily available on that specific unit. I dont know about others, just my experience.

Oh, I agree about the 510 kit instructional sheet.

But, all I'm talking about is a one page, 8X10 letter size sheet of paper. Jasezero has a point, for SOME of the mods, there's clear instructions on the website. But, what happens when you're not near your computer when it shows up?

As I said earlier, I didn't have any problems with mine, but it would be NICE.

I'd have to go with Jasezero on this one too. I think that if the mod supplier has good documentation available on their website regarding usage and maintenance of the mod, then that should be sufficient and often times superior to printing a sheet of paper. High quality graphics can be added and videos as well. A simple sheet of paper or even a high-quality brochure wouldn't add much to the package and would simply drive up the cost and kill trees.

I do agree though that several mod makers should beef-up their online documentation of the mods. Especially with specs...it's sometimes hard to calculate the size, weight, etc of many mods for comparison or usage needs.

I guess I don't really see the need for instructions. It seems to me that if you are buying a mod then you know how to screw in an atomizer. After that the only thing left is putting the batteries in. If they don't work one way flip them around. Mods are basically the same setup as a flashlight. How many need instructions to work a flashlight?

Exactly what I was saying. How many newbs go out and buy a V2 or a Chuck for their first E-Cig.

Everything I started with [KR808, 510] came with instructions. People who buy mods should know what they're doing.

Domino does have a point though. What if someone sends a newb that that vapes say a 510 but has never had a mod and has no internet...there will be instances similar I'm sure. I would think the company would want documentation and warranty claims if any to cover their azz more than anything...because there are people out there that still cant tie their own shoes yet.

You do kind of have a point, but I've yet to buy a pair of shoes that came with instructions on how to tie them.:)

Thank you Nicotime. That's what I'm trying to say. As I stated, I did NOT have any problems with the mods. But, there COULD have been problems, right? Right.

AND, batteries don't always NOT work in the unit if they're in there the wrong way. But, there's NO instructions and guess what happens when you DO install the battery the wrong way in SOME mods? The spring sticks to the positive end of the battery and it CAN damage the battery. I don't know about YOU, but I'd be pretty ...... at the vendor if I had to re-order some OVERLY priced batteries, on the INTERNET to replace a few that I'd blown because there WASN'T ANY INSTRUCTIONS included in my EXPENSIVE mod.

You're right, there are a LOT of people out there that can't tie their shoes. I CAN and I'm assuming you can TOO. But, there's a lot more of THEM than there are US.

My point was just to show my confusion of the lack of a basic instructional sheet that would work wonders in covering the ... of the vendors.

But generally if you have something custom built doesn't that mean that you know how it works?

AND, not to point fingers, but I read a post by a newbie a few days ago stating that they thought that maybe something was wrong with their carto because, after vaping with the SAME ONE for 3 days STRAIGHT, it was hurting their throat.

That's why we're here. To help each other, right? Right!

Without US, think that person would have realized they were vaping BURNING filler? No. They would have said that e-cigs are okay for a little while, but then they burn your throat. This is NOT a widely used product..YET. AND, the powers that be are making sure it's going to STAY that way.

If, God forbid, a newbie purchases ANY ecig, mod or not, and does themselves SERIOUS harm, what'll happen to this industry, do you figure?
