Greetings All!

I have on route a Kayfun Undead and want a nice working mod for this unit. I would like to have a 50W device that will allow me to put a 0.8 Ohm build on this unit without any trouble if I choose too. I have an eleaf iSitck now and it just will not cut it for anything less than 1 ohm and is too small as well.

I was looking at the Cloupor T5, IPV2 50W, IPV2S 60W and sigelei 50W in the $100 price range. I am really not interested in picking anything up from fasttech unless the build quality is exceptional.

Are any of these good choices or is there something else I should look at? I'd like to stick with a single 18650 battery and have the ability for USB charging.

The other problem is that I am in Canada, so I need a place that will ship here via USPS. I don't need overnight and I will pick up an EFest 35A flat top locally so it does not create shipping or customs problem.

Many thanks and looking forward to the great ECF experienced insight.

You can get the Sigelei 100W+ for under 100 (but battery and charger will add $30-50) but you might find a discounted 100W now that the plus is out there.

My guess is you'll eventually want to go beyond 50W if right now you want 50W. I once thought all I needed was 30W but now regularly use 70+ watts. I suggest get as much as you can afford right now, because you'll always want more later.

The IPV3 maybe? You can get one of those right around $100 if you hunt around a bit. The price difference between the V2 and V3, i'd go with that.

If you are looking for a single mod that can handle anything you throw at it, you need to find a mod that bucks as well, which the IPV2/3 does. These power adding regulated devices are too hot sometimes for off-the-shelf stuff using silica wick.

The Sigelei doesn't buck power.

Well I ended up pulling the trigger on an IPV2S from Eciggity... I really like the USB Charging option and since it is only for the Kayfun Undead there should be plenty of power as I have no interest in using a dripper. :vapor:

Now for a battery... The only decent choices locally are the Efest IMR 18650 2500mah 35amp Flat Top jobbies, would this battery work properly in the IPV2S? I have seen the big warning pages about the Efest but that is mostly when used in a mech no?

There are no VTC5's in Canada anywhere and I don't know where to pick up the Samsung 25R's locally, would the Samsung be the better choice?

The Efest can only do 20 amp continuous; go find some VTC4's if you can't find VTC5's. And be wary of fakes. It'll save you the headache of buying more batteries if you ever outgrow your 30-50 watts.

Side note, can that Kayfun run 50w?
I know it says it modified but by how much?

I'll most likely never run it around 30W, just nice to have the power if I do change over to something else and the ability to use an 0.8 ohm build if I choose.

Here is a video of it, all the air holes are drilled out and some footage at the end of use.
