Hi, I joined ECF 2 1/2 years ago, right before I first tried e-cigs. I used them awhile and then went back to my analogs. Recently, I picked them up again and this time have been happily vaping for a little over 2 months! I'm thrilled that after 30+ years of smoking I have been able to stop almost effortlessly this time! Thank you for all of the wonderful information this site provides! :)

Ocngratulations Zanne! That is awesome! It's only been a few days for me since I totally gave up analogs. I don't miss them or even crave them. Vaping has satisfied all my waking cravings. I have to ask though, do you dream about analogs at all? The last few nights I have the same dream where I am still smoking, like I am taunting mysel in my dreams. It is making me a little crazy because I wake up upset and confused. I guess I am my own worst enemy. :)

Congratulations, Zanne! You're well on your way, so never look back!

Alliebar, hang in there. When I dreamed of smoking, it made me scared I was starting again. However, a good vape with a stronger nicotine content in the morning with my coffee, and I was ok and set for the day with my lower nic carts. Eventually, the dreams went away, the longer I went without tobacco cigarettes. Whenever I get nervous, a slightly stronger than my norm nic content seems to do the trick. I'm down to 0 and 6mg nic, now, and that strong vape comes from 12mg, and usually in a more intense flavor like espresso or clove. I stick to 0 nic in the evenings with light flavors such as peach or watermelon, as stronger nic seems to keep me stimulated and tossing when I should be sleeping.

Thank you all for the congrats and the encouragement!

CheekyMonkey, yes! I am absolutely amazed at how easy it was! I started out still smoking analogs, but going for my ecig first. Before I knew it, I was down to only 3 -5 analogs a day as I started liking my ecig better! Without even realizing it I went a full day with no analogs. Then I thought, hmm, let's go for another! It's actually been 2 and 1/2 months now with no analogs at all! I'm thrilled!

Alliebar, I haven't had any dreams about smoking. I think that is mostly because with vaping, I can still pick it up, inhale, and blow "smoke." Knowing I can still do that has made it psychologically easy for me. I'm sorry you are having those disturbing dreams. A friend did tell me not to be afraid of trying a little stronger juice, if neccessary in the beginning. She said it helped her. Perhaps that might help you, too.

Very good on the 2 months! I just started vaping with a good kit on Saturday and I have been weaning myself off of analogs since then. I haven't fully quite yet, but I will when I complete the pack of analogs I have left. So far they have lasted me 2 days longer than usual (I was a pack a day smoker), so anything less than what I used to smoke is just fine with me!

I can't wait until I can announce 2 months analog free!

Good job you guys! I struggled at first for a few weeks. I had dreams about smoking too in the beginning (first few days) but then I thought, you know that makes sense every day ( pack and half a day) for over 30 years i had one in my hands. It was part of who I was. I remember looking back through photograph albums thinking wow there isn't one picture of me without a cigarette in my hands! I reminded myself that it isn't who I am today, It didn't mean that I was going to relapse. It has been around 3 years sense I have had an analog! I NEVER EVER want to pick up another cigarette for as long as I live. I hope that amount of time that I live has been increased due to the quitting the over 3,000 chemicals. I feel great!! I wish you all much luck and the support and encouragement of this site made it all possible. Good luck everyone and take good care!
