I'm just dropping in to say, "Hi" and to introduce myself.

I'm 35 years of age and have been smoking analogs since the age of 11. I've quit numerous times, but never for longer than a month. Though I've been very determined to quit in my last two attempts, my inner mental midget got the best of me.

I recently saw a friend of a friend vaping an "e-cig" at a party and inquired about it. After chopping it up with him for a while, I took my phone out of my pocket and logged on to the site he referred me to in order to purchase my kit. On New Year's Eve, I took receipt of my T-Rex kit, extra cartridges, and a 30ml bottle of Marl Bros juice. I smoked what I am hoping was my last analog at around 5:00PM that afternoon.

I wish I had stumbled across this site prior to making my purchase, but I didn't discover ECF until New Year's Day. The Marl Bros juice is very disappointing in the flavor department. I read a few reviews on here and went ahead and placed an order for Backwoods Brew Applewood and Caramel Cappuccino, both in 30ml trim with 12mg nicotine. I also placed an order for a few low-resistance attys to see how much more vapor I can realize in comparison to the ones my T-Rex kit came with.

I've been vaping from the time I wake up until I hit the sack. My cravings for analogs has been minimal, which is amazing considering I was pulling my hair for two weeks when I tried to kick the analogs cold turkey. I'm truly hoping that PVs will be instrumental in helping me kick my analog habit for good.

Lookin' forward to learning from you all, and contributing when I can. Happy 2011 to you all. =)

Welcome and Good Luck.
The T-Rex was one of the models I was looking at for my first kit, I went with the Riva, but they are pretty much the same and get good reviews. I didn't like the Mar Bro juice either (all 125ml of it), but it did get me through the hardest (first) days without an analog and now I can add other flavors to it.

If you find that you are still craving cigarettes, you may need to up your nicotine level.
Try getting a few different nicotine levels of e-liquid in smaller sizes. Say one in 18mg and one in 24mg. By getting the smaller sizes it won't hurt the $ pocket nearly as bad as 30ml. Once you find a good nic level and flavor that you like 30ml is a good purchase.
Using a higher nic level when that cigarette craving is really bad-helps you through the craving. Then you can vape using the lower nic level the rest of the day.
Congrats on switching and welcome to the ECF c0nrad!

Thanks for the welcome, everyone. =)

I woke up this morning and had a strong urge to smoke. I quickly grabbed my PV and started vaping away. After I dropped off my kids at school and daycare, I decided to just take the day off. I vaped on and off for another hour and started to mellow out. The edge I had when I woke up finally faded away.

I decided that today would be a good day to start running again. I was lifting weights for almost a year and stopped last February after my second child was born. I never was into cardio or aerobic types of exercise, but I think running is going to help me sweat more of the poison out of my system and help me to start rebuilding my pulmonary system. I ran 2 miles @ 9m 11s per mile. Not bad for someone who's been smoking for over 24 years. Haha! My goal is to participate in a 10K this summer and run at an 8-minute pace. I think it's possible if I don't ever give cigarettes a chance again.

Cheers!
