It does get easier and easier. I can't wait to get a year behind me. As the cells in your body begin to repair you may have fleeting thoughts of smoking, but grab your PV and you're home free. G'luck!! Glad to hear the good news! Watching them smoke in the movies really gets to me. I have to let it go as fast as possible. I started with tobacco flavor e-juices and still love it,, but with all the other flavors to enjoy it makes vaping even more peasurable. And I thought I'd never ever try something else. ;)

A hearty congrats, Joyce! Way to go. Listen, make sure you have a couple of strong flavs in 24mg, just in case. I don't recall what you vape normally, but have something stronger for those weaker moments.

And let me remind you that there's a huge secret payoff for permanent quits: vaping tastes even better once your taste buds begin to regroup. That was the biggest unexpected bonus for me, and it made quitting all the more worthwhile. Gulak!

Thanks for the advice, jeffree! 24 mg would probably kill me, though. ;-) I've had to reduce to a maximum of 8 mgs, due to nicotine headaches, lol. That was a delightful surprise. I do, however, have several 11 and 18 mg carto leftovers hanging around to stave off a really bad craving if it should appear. So far, that hasn't been a real problem.

Congrats! I'm almost at a month myself, after quitting cold turkey once I received my starter kit :) For me I think it was the Vanilla Mocha Frap that made me never want to taste an analog again...but then again it could have been the Irish Creme, or was it the Margarita?? Now, I can't wait to try Pineapple! Good luck to you....keep it up!

One day at a time.....that first week is a real test of will, but everyday that is smoke free builds more strength to face the next. Pretty soon you look back and say, "Hey, I've been smoke free for 5 months" after smoking a pack a day for 30 years.

At least that is what I'm saying, today is my official :headbang: 5 Month Anniversary :headbang:!!!

Congrats...hold strong!

Miracles of miracles!! Congrats to all of us who have stopped smoking! I'm 2 months and hope to be right here in 10 months saying it's been a year. The doctors have told me my family is predisposed to lung cancer from cigs. I've lost grandad, dad, aunt, uncle, two cousins (one was 46 the other latest victom was 2 yrs older than me - so I believe I started vaping just in time to save my own life). Do I have guilt feelings over those that have died before PV's? Yes, I actually do. I miss them and wish they'd have had this opportunity, and I'm sure they'd be glad I have it and be wanting me to stick to it and let as many ppl as possible know about it. I was miserable on the patch, the gum, lozenges and Chantix and they didn't work. My mother quit 20 yrs ago and is plagued with lung problems. Vape on, vape on. The last thing I want to hear from a doctor is "We found a spot on your lungs...."

And on another note, I crunched some numbers...I bought my ultimate starter kit in August, but didn't start using it regularly until Thanksgiving week. Totaling all of my V4L expenditures to yesterday, including hardware, I have spent approximately the same amount I would have on smokes since November. Not too shabby, as I am pretty much stocked up for nuclear winter.
