Do any of you guys ever occasionally relapse onto the analogs? I myself don't anymore but when I first switched I would occasionally bum a cig from a friend or the sort. What about you guys? How long before you stopped cheating now an then? For me it was after like 3 months or so I was totally rid of them

I did snatch one of a friend and i didn't like it at all. So i was convinced that i would never relapse. Then one day at a party, my batteries died on me. :(
So i was fooling myself: "Well i'll buy a pack of smokes just for tonight and continue vaping tomorrow."
Well i shouldn't i was stuck for 2 weeks until i finally got back to vaping again. And even then i had the morning cigarettes every once in awhile. But now i've been free again for a long time. :)

Anyway even for the dual users It's great to vape, each cigarette less is one more step into the right direction. :)
So instead of someone having 20 ciggs a day, It's great if he/she only have 5-10 a day + vaping.

My tip for everyone is not to fool themself "I can smoke just for tonight." When you're at a party It's a high risk that you'll be back on the cigarettes faster than you know it.

I have not had an analog since I started vaping.
This is me, almost. I started vaping on the 4th of July this year (I lost my dependence on analogues!) and immediately ditched smoking. A week later, my battery went dead on my VV twist so I lit up a Marlboro light while I waited for my battery to charge again. Two puffs and I turned green. I hadn't realised just how foul it would taste after vaping sweet flavours. I stubbed it out but the smell was stuck to me for the rest of the evening.

That's how i feelt aswell.
But months later well i still got stuck, i blame it partly because i was drunk and my batteries died on me. But after 3-4 ciggs they taste normal and "good" again.

So try hold on to your experience for when you have a craving. :)

7 months without a cigarette since I started vaping. Stopped vaping last night to see if I could quit. Had 5 analogs today by 2pm. Freaked the [MODERATED] out and bought a disposable blu just to switch it up (after buying 20 Marlboro....). Scary. I'm blaming my new Aspire Minis. Don't know why but I am. Genuinely thought I'd quit smoking, depressing.

You'll need to progressivly lower your nicotine before you can quit totally.

As i've done atm, started out with 24mg -> 18mg -> 12mg and now i'm slowly going down to 6mg.
And i don't think im that addicted anymore, since i can go pretty much all day without vaping.

Also remember that nicotine by itself isnt more addicting than coffeine in coffee. :)
Why did you buy a pack of smokes and not go back to vaping when you tried to quit? Did you sell your equipment or something?

Well don't worry you'll be able to quit eventually. :)
Do as i've done/doing. :)

I'm on 12 now though, although I vape a lot when it's in my hand. I've had cravings before and the smell of an analog was enough to snap me out of it, this time I don't know. I got really p1ssed off with my aspires - juice on my hands, in my mouth, tissues everywhere, sore throat, spending money all the time, and the smell and look even of juice really started getting to me...arrgh I just snapped. Weird, probably nothing to do with vaping and just a bad day/week. The cigs were disgusting, but also familiar and reassuring and and less disgusting with each drag. Tbh I don't want to vape anymore and I mistakenly believed that I didn't smoke. Lesson learnt. Still depressing to realise I haven't quit.

EDIT: I have tons of equipment. I hate it all.
Sorry, just needed a moan:)

Don't you worry! Keep your gear as you might want to use it later.
I feelt the same kind of, stock coils were just to bad and i wasn't in the mood of rebuildning anymore (at that time i rebuilded protank coils.) Got tired of all flavors i had.
Then i moved on to real RBA and it opened a whole new world for me again. Also trying new brands of juice helped alot, i'm focusing more on testing new juices so keep my interest up.

A good idea if you haven't tried it, is to buy a good NET. It's almost like tobacco and works great as an ADV.
I like Strix elixirs vanilla bogart, it's simply awesome.
And there's other vendors that ppl say are even better, which i haven't tried yet but i will.
I think that'll also help you to quit your cravings.

And yea i agree after 2-3 ciggs they don't taste bad anymore. Or well they do but we're used to it, as you said familiar feeling.

I started vaping in the summer of 2009 and one year later I fell off the wagon and went back to cigarettes. It was partially because I missed the taste of a cigarette, bu mostly because it was such a PITA to get stuff. There were no B&M's around here back then except for a few kiosks at malls, and they are such a rip off. I went back to smoking for about 3 years. Then last summer I discovered there were B&M's popping up all over the place. I bought a new Ego battery and a small plastic tank. I don't remember what kind of tank it was, but it was a cheapo. Then I found other B&M's and started buying and trying other devices. Now I'm pretty much just on a Provari and a Stingray and loving them both. I still use my other devices from time to time, but for now it's the Provari and Stingray. Since stuff is so easy to get these days, I doubt I'll be going back to cigarettes any time soon, if ever.

^^Good shout re NETs, I'm going to try one. I don't even have any tobacco flavours anymore and may have just missed that taste. I know they get a bad rep, but that cigalike was pretty satisfying to me. If they weren't more expensive than the real thing I'd be happy to use it for a while just cos it felt a bit closer to regular smoking with its draw and size.

But I'm being stupid, if I go back to cigarettes I'll go back with a vengence just like all the other times. However many is in the box, is however many I'll smoke so [MODERATED] that.

I suggest you to look in this thread.

Cigalikes are not a recipe for sucess sadly. Atleast for most people. However if you want a cigalike you could try a E-roll i've heard that they're pretty good. But i still recommend a better setup which i guess you already have? Or did you quit for 7 months with a cigalike? Or maybe i missunderstood your post. :)

Oh well just don't give up entirely on vaping. :)

I smoked for 45 years and loved every one. I still crave cigarettes occasionally but I won't give in because of my heart, which is why I stopped the day I bought my first start up kit. I smoked cigars too but I won't have one. It's tough, but hang in there.

This made me curious if smoking a cigarr would increase the odds for a relapse. For me i don't think it would since i rarely smoked cigarrs. Just occasionally. And you don't inhale cigarr tobacco as you would with a cigarette. Hmm interesting.
