For the skeptics out there, I too was one of you roughly 2 months ago. I smoked for about 20 years, from anywhere from 3 packs a day when I was younger, to just over a pack a day. I (also like you) have tried pretty much every quit smoking program out there and still smoked.

Two events happened back to back followed by a third that have completely changed my life. The first was a chance encounter with a smooth talking salesman in the local mall. I was drawn to his kiosk by clouds of "smoke", then as I grew closer, watching the guy smoke. Inside!! Before he even said his greeting to me, I was already suckered in - Now that's advertising! After he ran down through his spiel, he got to the last thing; price. It was outrageous!! The starter kit included 1 complete "cigarette", backup battery, charger, and about 10 packs of smokes worth of cartridges all for the low price of $150. There was no way I could justify this purchase. That night, I was watching my Youtube subscription, and TheGeekGroup had a video on e-Cigarette basics (YouTube - thegeekgroup's Channel). I watched the video in rapt attention. Since a guy I have learned to trust was endorsing a product, I went to the Company's website and bought their 510 starter. I started with the high Nicotine dosage to match my smoking habits.

When it arrived, it was an easy transition to assemble and vape on and I haven't looked back. Luckily, I chose the high nicotine (they only offer up to 18mg, which I've since found is a little low for me). I happily ordered my replacement carts. All was well in the world, until I discovered ECF. This family has been my support group, my sounding board, my stupid question answerer, and everything else.

I have been on this site for a little less than 2 months have learned a ton, and made as many friends. In my community, I am the first vaper, and people are starting to switch all around me (after I give a ringing endorsement of this site, and they see it in action).

So what is life like for me now? First - I never had any cravings. If I got the "smoke jitters" (and I know you know what I'm talking about), I went outside and vaped. The biggest differences? I can taste better, smell better, and haven't gotten sick since. I used to live life with a perpetual stuffed nose; always on the verge of catching something or another. Most importantly? Cigarette smoke doesn't smell good to me any more. In previous quitting attempts, the smell of someone smoking would drive me to think of justifications on why I was about to spark up a cigarette - as it was going to be eventually happening.

I have 2 packs in the freezer that have sat there untouched for 2 months. My wife and I are contemplating dousing them with gasoline and having a burning party (I gave her my original set, and she's been smoke free for a month). I am not the "EX-smoker" you hear about. I will happily vape beside a smoker without speaking a word. If they show interest, I will show and tell, and pitch my beliefs to help another smoker become an ex.

If you've read to this point, you want to do this; do me a favor and buy at least a disposable and try it. If it doesn't work, you've lost out on $10. When it does - I want you too to come to this thread, and post your success story.

Mathew

P.S. - PM me if you have any questions, I'll help where I can. The only stupid question, is the one you think is too stupid to ask. Happy vaping!!

P.P.S - To my ECF family. Thank you so much for all that you've done, and to those I haven't met yet - we will!
