its not a very big mod, but it was for my wife. i'm going to be making a 6v box mod here very soon, i'll also post that up when i get done.

this one is just simple, easy, clean and functional(except the LED, think its under powered, this thinking this one out.

what do you think? it vapes, handed it to my wife, she says it vaps better than her ego, so i'm good with that. its using a 14500 protected battery, 510 connector and she's using a low res cardomizer.

any questions let me know

i havent' started using chips yet, i'm just covering the basics right now. i was supposed to do a usb pass-thru last night, but ended up tearing apart a bunch of broke crap that i'd had for years to rape and pillage them for mod parts! so now i have a ton of switches, led's wire, usb cords, resisters, power connectors, just about every thing, i even have a tiny pump(lots of ideas for this one)!

but after i get the basics done, i'll be moving on to more complex devices. but right now i'm gonna go build this usb pass-thru into the skin of an old torch lighter, keep an eye out for this one!

That's just a regular 5v regulator. I just put it on a printed circuit board to make it look clean. Look in the how-to section on Mad Vapes. There is a few real good & easy to do 5v tutorials in there.

That pass through is going to look good!

I think I built this one for around 10 bucks. I'd have to look at my invoice from where I got all the stuff. It was cheap, really easy and it works so I'm pretty happy with it. I don't really use it though, bmy wife does. I'm still vaping my new BSB from altsmoke. I do have plans to make a 6v box mod, most likely before this next weekend I'll have it done.

this build, with 2 batteries(didn't have any of those yet lol) cost me(without figuring out shipping) cost me $15.37. without the batteries it would have only been $5.79. so yes its a cheap build, yes it works just like a 3.6v device. would i use this as my every day pv? no, i like my BSB, now if my PV broke and i needed to get by until my new one arrived, then hell yes i'd use it, i'd even build a 6v device(with i'm about to do for the wife) just to keep vaping at 6v. i've tried 3.2v, 3.6v and i'd much rather vape at 6v.

i did attempt to make a pass-thru out of an old torch lighter but it flopped, it worked, but didn't work well, performed worse than the 3.6v box mod. i think its because of cold solder joints, we'll see, i'm going to keep working on it this week.

i'll be doing the 6v version of this later tonight, using a 3 aa battery box and rcr123a batteries. stay tuned
