Okay so I've always considered myself to be a pretty observant person. Many of my jobs have been ones that required me to oversee and organize things and catch things that others have missed. But then every once in a great while I have an occurrence like the one I just experienced.

I walked into my kitchen, stopped in front of the fridge, stretched, and, while stretching, happened to turn my head so that I ended up looking out the kitchen window. The first thing that caught my eye when looking out the window was a flag blowing in the breeze on top of a building about 1/4 of a mile away. My first thought was "hmmm never noticed that before".

But I've lived in the same place for 5 1/2 years now and even though there used to be another building that would have blocked it from my line of site that building was knocked down a year and a half ago.

So now I have to wonder is it:

(A) The flag was recently put up.
(B) I've noticed it before but seen it so often that I just kind of forgot it was even there.
(C) I've really never noticed it before.

The most likely thing is that it is option B but it just bugs me having to wonder

I can't be the only one that does this.....

can I? :|

I got this friend who I run around with a lot. Every time, and I do mean EVERYTIME, we go by this place, she ask how long it’s been there.
This is the same woman I have to finish sentences for:
The bad part of the whole thing is---she eight years younger than me.
What she going to be like when she’s my age?

LOL. Sounds like something I would do...

I do it all the time, Lol!!!!! Ur normal.....but to be suuuuure, u **could go to buil and ask ;)

lol ... didn't you read the part about it being 1/4 mile away? I'm to lazy for that :p

Too much time on ECF Thy...........

lol that sounds like a good excuse.

Thy, I noticed a 5-story BUILDING on my drive into the city the other day. I swear I've never seen it before. The area it's located in is very old and run-down, so it did NOT pop up overnight.

Yup I've done that too.

I went 2 1/2 years without a license, damn DMV (no wasn't a DWI or DUI, just to avoid questions), and majority of that time I worked mainly from home and those times I was out I was being "chauffeured" in my truck by various people and I kept busy working on laptop and phone calls on the drive. So the last 8 months I notice lots of "new" things that changed over the past 3 years lol

Sounds like one of my exes that I've known for about 20 years. In that time she has lived in the same area the entire time and still calls me constantly for directions to places she has been numerous times.

Welcome to "getting older". It happens and there is nothing you can do about it.

lol I hope not. If so I've been getting old since my early 20s. It's not a common occurrence just an occasional thing.

Like 5 years ago I one day noticed a huge banner hanging over the garage door to a warehouse that I had been running for about a year at the time. Ended up finding out that it had been there the entire time I worked there but I guess I had just gotten so used to it I'd forgotten about it.
