Hello one and all.
Been vaping awhile now , bronchitis finally made me give up treating my nose as a chimney.
Being a resident of the original nanny state I resented the amount of cash I was voluntarily giving to her majesty.

Having found most of the juices either very expensive or just horrible , I am venturing down the diy road.

I think I have a low tolerance to pg so have tried to stick with vg .

We in the UK seem to be way behind the US on just about everything vapourable . Struggling to find anything other than clone stores all selling the same junk.

Lots of posts online worring about diy , is it safe , bla bla. Ffs you spent years puffing on cigs made by a handful of companies that put more people in the ground each year than Adolf .

That's all.

Welcome and glad you joined.
Just trying to be part of the mortar. Could check into:

Hi Upinsmoke & welcome
"We in the UK seem to be way behind the US on just about everything vapourable . "

Except possibly intelligence. Your govt has accepted the benefits of vaping and is encouraging it. Not so much in the US which is more concerned with leaving those kids alone.
The tabacco lobby are hard at work this side of the pond.
They're flogging a dead horse in the West, the game is up.
They should concentrate on selling their products in Africa and Asia and let us move on.
Over here we can only buy e juice in 2 teaspoon bottles. Even if it is nicotine free. At the same time that law came in , another said cigarettes could not be sold in packs of 10 anymore. Minimum pack size 20.
Shine on you crazy diamond.

made my first batch of diy eliquid today. it's not half bad but i need to tweak the recipe cuz all i can taste is the undernote. it's a fun process, and think of all the money you'll save. here's a good instructional video to help get you started.

Crazy indeed! Almost makes one suspect the government makes lots of money from cigarette sales.

Don't know what you made, but some juice recipes don't do well as a "shake and vape", but can take a few days to steep. I do keep mine in a hot water bath for about 15 minutes which lets me get better mixing on shaking as the higher temp makes the VG less viscous. Before trying to fine tune it, let it sit a few days and retry. It might turn out well.

i was trying for Orange Creamsicle, and the recipe called for 6% Orange Cream and 3% Vanilla Bean Ice Cream. after making it all i could smell was the Vanilla bean, so I just had to try a small sample, the vanilla was all i could taste. i'm letting the rest steep for a week before i sample it again.

a day later and the juice has gone from clear to a slight orange color, so hopefully that means the orange cream is asserting itself. this morning i also mixed a new batch but upped the orange cream to 8%, and lowered the vanilla bean to 1%.

since i'm new at this i'm only mixing in 15ml bottles for now. that way i don't end up with a big bottle of juice i might not like.

You re doing it right. Start small and simple, and be patient.

One thing to remember: This is just like cooking. If you follow that recipe to down to the 0.01 ml, you will get a flavor that tastes exactly as the recipe's author liked it.

In other words, don't be afraid to experiment
