Another coil bites the dust.

Very strange, I usually used 50/50 juices...N mini coils last about two weeks while my Atlantis so far lasted about 3 weeks. Hell I'm just on my 3rd coil there and while I switch tanks a lot I use the Atlantis the most.

I'm on 12 days with my current coil right now. Gone through 50mls of 6mg "Strawberry Mint" juice from juicemafia. No issues.

That is why I like my Kayfuns! I got me a 3 year supply of wick and cotton for like 15 bucks. And I also learned to rebuild my Protank heads and have got a zip lock bag full of them.

I cannot bring myself to by replacement heads anymore...or premade juice.

Yea , I'm on the edge of going into RTA's. Never built my own coils but me having to buy atomizer heads, worry about temp for certain juices, questioning longetivity per Atty head, is bothering me already. I need to get into rebuildable. Your post influenced me slightly to save and pony up for a good RTA

I don't think they are meant to be cleaned and reused.

I have had my atlantis for only a few days but am vaping 80vg DIY custards that are sweet and gunk my RDA coils pretty badly. Along with some CLS from nicoticket and some uncle crimmys custard overdose that is max VG. Oh and 100% VG after fouling my tank with some strawnilla.

No dry hits yet. And I will certainly try rebuilding one when it does fry. I have been through about 30mls so far with no dry hits yet. And I am vaping 30 watts plus constantly. and occasionally bounce it all the way to 45 watts and vape a monster cloud. I don't try chain vaping at 45 but hit it occasionally at that wattage. Step back down to 32ish and let it wick a little before taking another pull.

Why are you cleaning them? are they tasting nasty or are you just doing it because that is what you have always done?

If you are liking the draw on the atlantis you may want to look at the Lemo instead of a kayfun. Kayfun draw is pretty tight. great tanks but different draw.

From what you telling me, seems like i did get a bad patch of coils, since i cant vape that high in wattage even with max vg juice.

I clean them as preventive maintenance as i have done in the past with Nautilus BVC coils. Because if i use them too much with out cleaning (over 60ml of juice), then get too gunk up and becomes harder to clean.


Got an RDA to play with now, so ill keep the tank as emergency backup.
